On 13 September 2009 I booked a 2 night's accommodation at GLO hotel in Helsinki, Finland at a cost of 216.14 euro. On 29 of September 2009 I received a notice of cancellation from bookinhotels.com and to date I have not received a refund. I tried to contact email, fax and telephone after receiving the cancellation to ask for a refund of my reservation, they never responded in any way. From the GLO hotel we understood that bookinhotels never made a reservation in our name. I rebooked and ultimately I have paid twice. We informed VISA about the fraud, but they seem to be only investigating the case. After this experience we noticed that we were not the only ones they scammed, but that bookinhotels does this on a big scale.
Can nothing be done the prevent this fraudulent site from swindling other people, they seem to be doing this already for years.
