Say goodbye to your money
While I was booking this vacation over the phone, the flight component of my flight "disappeared, " and the agent couldn't find a comparable substitute for the same date. So I requested to cancel the resort as well. I received a cancelation email within a few minutes, and was surprised to see several days later that the charge for the resort went through (not just pending). The cancelation email said that I would get a refund within 7 days, which of course did not happen. It probably goes without saying that it was very difficult to get through to customer service. And then I was told that refunds take 10 days, and then 15-20. And oh yes, if you dispute the charge with your it card, they can't give you your money back. It's quite obvious that the basic principles of contract law are unfamiliar to this place.

Hotel did not exist
We booked airline and hotel reservations on Bookit.com for a June graduation in Orlando in March. The flight went well. We were picked up at the airport and made our way to the resort to check in before connecting with other family members, using the GPS for direction. After driving around in circles for at least half an hour and still unable to see anything that indicated we had "arrived at the destination, " Bookit.com was called. After several attempts to connect with customer service failed because we were disconnected or the calls dropped, we were told that the SunResort stay that we booked had filed bankruptcy and closed, "yesterday, " and that they sent an email notifying us of that. Needless to say, if they had sent an email (which they did not) why would they not call us so that we could change our reservations before arriving 1000 miles from home with nowhere to stay? We stayed on the phone with Michael for more than two hours trying to get more accommodations for the price we contracted to pay. He was unable to help us and it took another hour to get a manager (or so we were told) on the phone. The "manager" was just as bad as the CSR, unable or unwilling to bend the "rules" to help us out of this awful situation of being miles from home, in a gas devouring SUV, driving around or sitting on the side of the road (afraid to drop the connection) on cell phones (one had already lost battery power and no car adapter), nowhere to go and it was getting dark. After 5 hours of frustration, negotiation, and compromise, we were offered a two bedroom suite (we booked a three bedroom) and was told we would have to pay an additional $135. They did not care about the inconvenience and very dangerous predicament we were in, and had we not stayed on the phone, refusing to let it go, who knows what the outcome would have been. We don't know if the resort was truly out of business or if Bookit.com was scamming us. I wish we had researched this company before making travel plans. Being away from home with nowhere to go, in unfamiliar surroundings was very frightening.

Rip off artists
We booked two nights at the El Convento Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for December 25 and 26, 2010, through Bookit. On December 24, I phoned Bookit because we were staying across the island and my wife became too sick to drive the three hours back to San Juan. Stephanie at Bookit agreed to cancel our first night at the hotel, but keep the second night. She said they would not charge us the $19.95 cancellation fee. However, when we arrived at the hotel, Bookit had cancelled the entire reservation. We stood in line for almost two hours trying to secure a room at the hotel on the day after Christmas. They gave us their last room and we paid for it ourselves after the hotel confirmed that Bookit HAD NOT PAID FOR OUR ROOM. We've been trying to get this fraudulent charge off our American Express card for the past five months. Bookit also charged us $127.24 for airport transfer that we didn't order. It has been a nightmare dealing with this company.

Ruined Vacation
We booked our mexico vacation through this website. When we booked it was for an all inclusive hotel for a good deal. At the end of the transaction the website let us know it was malfunctioning and we had to call them. So we call and pay the price listed. When they send us the itinerary they booked us for the wrong hotel. So my boyfriend called and they said we had to pay more. Even though we paid the quoted price and they had booked us in the wrong hotel. They said they had to send it to resolutions and we would hear back in three days. I wasn't excepting that because there is a big difference between a regular hotel and an all-inclusive. So when we call back they tell us pretty much the same thing except now we have to wait 15 DAYS and it would cost us at least 500 dollars more!! The itinerary amount was also mis-quoted as us paying way more then we did. They wouldn't let us speak to resolutions and not one of their management team could help us. I have never been so frustrated -- EVER.

change without informing
They changed our activity time from early morning to afternoon and we only found out by visiting the activity center early in the morning...with two 'sleepy' kids in tow. They could have 'emailed' the change in time at the very least and prevented us from wasting the previous night sleeping early and the entire day feeling drowsy from lack of complete sleep ... during a vacation that was supposed to be a wind-down! And the activity center folks kept saying...it's your agent bookit.com that asked for this time!

Overcharged
I booked a vacation package for myself and my boyfriend on 2/12/2011 to Las Vegas. When I clicked the "bookit" button, and reread all of my flight info I found out that they had completely changed all the flights from what I had chose in the previous screens. I immediatly called Bookit.com to figure out what happened, the customer service rep said sometimes the website does that and that she could get me on the correct flights for an extra $130.00 per person ($260 total). I was so upset at the time I said ok just book the correct flights and I will pay the $260. She sent the itinerary to me via e-mail and everything looked fine. At that point my bank account had been charged $703.00 as promoised and I was awaiting the extra $260.00 charge to show up. Two days later I looked at by account and it said I was overdrawn by $-1900.00!!! I looked into the details and saw TWO seperate charges for $1215.80 each. I again immediatly called BOOKIT.COM. I waited on hold for approx. an hour to get to the right person that could try and help me, finally I talked to a supervisor she assured me that something went drastically wrong on their end and that one charge would be dropping off and the other I would be recieving a check in the mail in 7-10 buisness days for. I was happy to at least be getting a refund on the overcharges. The next day the one charge dropped. But I was still overcharged over $1500+. So I waited and waited for my check in the mail. On the 10th day I was getting worried, I had missed my car payment, my rent was due in 3 days and my account was occuring overcharges everyday that passed. I call BOOKIT.com again, I talked to a different person this time and she let me know that my check was sent out on the 25th and it would be here in 3 days. So again I waited, 3 days passed, still no check I called AGAIN, this time someone assured me my check was in the mail and I would recieve it in 3-5 more buisness days... WTF first its 7-10, then 3 days now another 3-5??? There is something wrong with this buisness, with all the other reviews I have read I guess I'm not the only one with this problem. I have contacted a lawyer and will be contacting the BBB now that I have a recorded message and e-mail with all the things promised to be refunded to me. The only problem is I have no money, my account is still negitive so all my direct deposit paychecks just go against the balance, I have no money to pay my rent, my car or by any food for my family. Still waiting on this "check" that was suppose to be sent... DO NOT USE BOOKIT.COM EVER

vacation package
I booked a vacation package to New York city with bookit.com and they lied about this hotel. I booked a four star luxury mystery hotel, which boasted on website included two days of unlimited hop on-hop off bus. I never got the bus pass and when I called bookit.com I spoke to a woman who said she would have support check into this and get back to me before I went on trip: never heard from them again. Then I go to this four star luxury hotel and the room was so small you could not walk around the bed without stubbing your toes. When I called bookit.com to complain they gentleman (relocation specialist) I spoke to was rude and obnoxious. He stated I would have to pay this hotel and pay for a new hotel as well, if I wanted to move. The website states they want complete satisfaction, NOT TRUE. They are horrible!!!

False, Fraud, Scam
OKAY, first of all, any comments saying BookIt.com are all WRONG. APPARENTLY, from my experience and my friend's, book it. com is "NOT" reliable, DO NOT BELIEVE IN WHAT THEY ADVERTISE! People who booked from here should DEFINITELY check their credit card history whatsoever. And realize how Bookit.com Company charge their credit card for amount worth more than $100 before they actually book their hotels. I booked here and had this experience. BOOK IT. com charged my credit card worth 159 dollars!! AND it says my money is charged from "Book it. com Miami FL" (in which I figured it is equivalent to Bookit.com's company address) on my credit card history. ALSO the company charged money for booking my hotel. SO now I am charged with more than 300 dollars. SO PLEASE AVOID AVOID AVOID BOOKIT. COM. DO NOT EVER EVER book your travel here, and this site should be closed in future as well as the company!!! BOOKIT. COM IS A SCAM

Service
This is a horrible travel website. I booked a stay through them for a trip with my wife and I for our 5 year anniversary. After arriving at the hotel we soon learned that this site up charged us over 100$ per night for our room. Booking through this unethical company is foolish. Had we booked through the hotel directly we would have saved 700$!!!

Bad communication
Very bad communication. We booked a flight with them and canceled within the 24 hour window they give you. Had to talk with a supervisor to even get that taken care of. Even after all of that, they still didn't cancel our flight. They dropped the ball and now we are battling with the airlines as well. What should have happened? Bookit.com should have called and canceled our flight with UA. Done, over. What happened? We canceled within the 24 hour window, bookit.com says we didn't, now airlines wants us to pay for tickets for a flight that we are not taking. LACK OF COMMUNICATION!! Simply put, someone at bookit.com dropped the ball and didn't do their job and we are having to pay for it. NEVER AGAIN and we will be telling everyone we know not to use them as well as refer them to this website so they can see all of the bad reviews for this company. I should have checked here first.
