WORST SERVICE/LIES
Booked a travel package deal to Vegas for 2 in September..thinking i was getting a good deal. Come to find out the non stop flights we had chosen were taken so they AUTOMATICALLY gave us 1 stop flights; which would have been fine IF they aren't at REDICULOUS times! (i do work you know) can't be returning at 12:45 in the morning!

NOT only that they had a hidden 'pending' charge on my account for $639 that overdrafted my bank account. So trying to talk to an AGENT at Bookit.com is like talking to a newborn infant. BEING as NICE as we could (no really), we went through 5 agents before they could answer what it was ...a confirmation price that would drop in a week?... thanks Ross... WHY COULD NOBODY ANSWER THIS? Shouldn't they ALL know?! Called my bank to have that dropped...

Everytime you call them they either hang up... keep you waiting for another representative... or blame it on the airflights/hotels... they apparently blame everything on everybody else.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD. NEVER BEEN SO DISRESPECTED IN MY LIFE!
We're still waiting for the 'manager' to call us back for our flight changes...

overcharged hotel
My husband and I decided even though the economy is in such bad shape, that we would take the kids and go on a fairly inexpensive vacation to Panama City Beach, Fl. He said we should wait until we got there to pick the hotel, but I insisted on going thru one of the discount booking companies online. I searched and Bookit.com had the cheapest rate for a 3 star resort at an amazing price of $59 per night! So, of course I jumped on that kind of deal! Immediately after I confirmed the amount and my visa was charged, the voucher that must be printed appeared. To my surprise, it had actually charged me the full price of $79 per night, which after taxes and surcharges, was actually another $100. All of this and we haven't even gone yet! Immediately, I started trying to contact customer service, but with no luck. I've sat on hold listening to the recording of 'my call will be taken in the order it was received' for over an hour. I've emailed several times with no response.
I'm just hoping and praying that the hotel turns out to be what it is supposed to be!

Over charged my bank account
I wanted to book two tickets and a all inclusive hotel package to Costa Rica. After giving the guy my credit card number he put me on hold 10 mins, then came back and said my card was declined and to call the bank to see what was wrong. He had over chaged my account over $5000! AND OVERDREW MY ACCOUNT BY $1500. The triped wantedcould not be purchased because there was I was over drawn by incorrecct amounts. It took Bookit.com 5 days to refund my money but by that time the airfares had raised by $300 per person that I could not afford to go to Costa Rica. I am terminally ill and needed this before I became to sick to travel.

Don't believe the hype

Does not post negative reviews. I booked a hotel on South Beach through Bookit.com. the hotel had three (3) reviews listed and the lowest one was 4 out of 5 stars and all of them said they would recommend the hotel to friends. In actuality, the hotel is the biggest dump that I have ever stayed at and that is in comparison to hotels that I have stayed at in Nicaragua and cheap hotels in Moscow. The room at The Continental Hotel had broken beds, stained chairs, broken AC vents, cracked drywall in the hallways and the suppossed reviewers all said they woudl recommend this place to friends. It was so bad that I didn't even stay the second of two nights and the front desk didn't even ask why I was checking out early. I tried to post my review which was 1.5 pages long (with pictures), but it wouldn't post on bookit.coms site. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and emailed their customer support which said they would post me review, but never did. I also tried posting a simple review that just said I would not recommend to friends and that wouldn't even post on their site. In conclusion, do not trust the reviews posted on Bookit.com

Misleading prices
I wanted to book a trip for my mother and I to celebrate our birthday together since is very close to each-other in days figured I will take it to Cancun, she has always wanted to see the Pyramids and swim with the dolphins so I wanted to do something special for her and for myself, well when I go to bookit.com I see a price of $602.00 dollars for 5 days 4 nights all inclusive 5 star hotel per person, sounds kind of good for what you get, it was originally $1, 455 then went down to $852 and finally $602 plus they will also give you a 500 dollars fly credit. well it sounded very good so I wanted to book it but as I click next on the page to start to book the flight I notice that the price they were giving to me was $852 plus they were charming $90 for entertainment and $ 220. for round trip from hotel to the airport, so I was like hmm, so I figured the right thing to do was to call them to understand the misunderstanding if it was on my part, well 1st I email them a few days ago and no answer so figured I will call them so when I tried to explain the problem the service guy got upset and hung up on me saying he had no time for this.

I have never been treated like that specially when I was nice to them, I understand that it can be very frustrating for them to deal with people at times, but at the same time they choose to work there and well if it wasn't for costumers they will have no job

Wedding day ruined
I booked a Vegas Vacation for my up and coming wedding through bookit.com.
Everything was a go until I received my confirmation 2 days late. They had me flying on Delta when the vacation was booked on Airtran. This wouldn't be a problem but the time they have me flying in 25 minutes after my wedding ceremony starts. I have been on 2telephone's for a total of four and a half hours speaking to almost every manager available and nothing is being done to rectify the problem. They did through in the fact that I have to pay bookit a $100 cancelation fee and that I will not get any of my money back from the airline. This is supposed to be my wedding day! I'm supposed to be happy, but I'm dealing with a bunch of incompetent a$$holes.

Overbook Reservation
Over the weekend, my sister visted me and wanted to visit Myrtle Beach, SC. After searching all the search engine, I decided to book a hotel through bookit.com. When we arrived in Myrtle Beach and waited for one hour to check in, we were told by the hotel manager that we do not have a reservation. The manager indicated "bookit.com had overbooked us. The hotel was sold out as of 48 hours before we got our reservation online." He also hold us it was not their problem and that we will have to call bookit.com. So, I called bookit.com and waited for 25 mintues before I get a CSR on the line. The CSR told me it was my fault for not confirming my reservation in advance and that there is nothing she can do for me other than give me my refund. Of course, I have a problem with this. This is 4pm on a Saturday late afernoon during peak season, where in the world will I get a hotel?!!! I just canceled my 5pm show just so I can be on the phone with bookit.com trying to find a place to sleep. Finally, I convinced the CSR to find me another hotel but then there was a catch. I would have to pay the $55 price difference. And of course, I have a problem with this. So once again, I convinced her to get the okay from management to waive the fee. 15 minutes she put me on hold to only tell me the hotel no longer has availability and that they are having system problem, causing their system to show availaibility when there are none. I spoke with the manager and she told me the same story. THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR ME other than give me my refund immediately. I JUST SPENT 1 1/2 HOUR ON THE PHONE FOR NO REASON WHEN I COULD OF SEARCH FOR A HOTEL MYSELF.

Long story short, DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING FROM BOOKIT.COM. We finally found another hotel two hours later that was 5 miles from our destination area. And also, as of today, I have not received my refund. When I called their CSR line, I was told I will have to wait for another 7-10 business days.

We call twice. Each time we called, It's was over 30 min, and a Woman named Monica said her name and then hung up on us.

Horrible Business
I booked a hotel through bookit.com in Jan. 09. One month before the trip I called and cancelled. bookit.com did not cancel or tell the hotel I cancelled. I was charged a total of 456.12 for the room to be reserved. I was then charged 40.00 three times in one day for unknown charges, a total of 120.00. Then after I cancelled 2weeks later I was charged fees. A total of $600+ in a week. Putting me in the negatives in my bank acct. They admitted they were at fault. I am getting my money back little by little but it has taking them a month! They wont credit me for my troubles or pay anything just a sorry. thats horse sh*t. NEVER USE bookit.com!!!

Poor customer service
Bookit.com advertised a travel discount that they would not honour. Customer service was inadequate as dozens of calls and over 6 weeks were required to explain the situation to several agents.

In the end, at top level manager essentially accused me of lying about the advertised discount.

I will not book a vacation with them again.
