FALSE ADVERTISING
Stay away from this company!!! Their adds/promotions on the website are misleading and do not exist. I booked the vocation and on next day got call that it's not available (mistake on the website in the price). They tried to switch me to the hotel, which was much lower quality and for inconvenience agreed to pay only $300 toward another hotel. Spent 4 hours on the phone / website to book and the same amount of time to cancel it. Horrible experience...

they are scammers
They are scammers, i booked a vacation package at checkkout they had problem on there website and it removed the flight i end up paying for hotel only, and i called after 1 minute from that because i did not found the flight schedule they said oh sir i was removed you did not do the right thing i asked them to return the money they said we can not, after 1 minute, what a scammers,

i called next day and i proofed for them they have problem with the website, i went to bookit.com and chose hotel in punta cana from montreal with flight,

look the funny schedule it gave me.

it says flight from montreal to Punta cana
montreal-toronto then Arrival destination NAS which is in Bahamas, i cope the page and sent them bookit.com they informed sir you are lucky you did not book it as it will be a reservation in hotel in puntana cana and flight to Bahamas, looool
find the funny error and they keep refusing to refund my money, they are the worst ever seen travel agency on earth.

Please see the proof i provide that website is having error and they still refused to refund my money, but i will charge them back on my credit card.

you will see pakcgae from montreal to punta cana and it says in the title that then the flight schedule will take you to bahamas is someone who do not know what NAS menas which is in the Bahamas he will be MADDDDDD

failed to book my tours as promised
According to the company's web site: "At BookIt.com® we take Customer Support very seriously. In fact, one of our core values states that if our customers are merely satisfied, we haven’t done our job. Total customer elation is our goal, and we work tirelessly to ensure that each and every customer is so elated with their experience that they stop conversations to tell others about us."

My husband and I booked a vacation through the online company and included several tours. We then wanted to cancel 2 of the 4 tours, well before we were due to leave for vacation, but were told we could not. When we arrived at our destination, we discovered that the booking agent did not confirm our booked tours. One tour did not even happen because of the company's failure to book it. Two more almost did not happen for the same reason. Three out of 4 tours had complications which created a great deal of frustration and took a lot of time out of our short vacation to try and resolve on our own.

We paid in advance for the tours, through the booking agency, and expected the tours to be booked when we arrived. They have offered to refund our money for the one tour that was cancelled by the tour company, but have not done so as of today. They took my money immediately when I booked, would not let me cancel 2 of the tours, then did not schedule the tours anyway, and now will not refund my money for a week to 10 days.

Unprofessional, Poor Customer Service
I found a resort for an incredible price and found the booking was through Bookit.com. Considering the price was much too good to be true I thought to call before booking. Did so and spoke to Derrick and asked him to confirm the price. He pulled up the info, saw the incredible price, he couldn't believe it either and wanted to check with his immediate supervisor. After a short wait he came back on and said the supervisor was calling the resort to confirm the pricing (strange I thought). I told him to call me back and said he would in a few minutes. Half an hour later I called him, asked what was going on and got the same answer.

Some time thereafter, I called again and asked to speak to a supervisor, and after a short while I got a woman named Tiffany and explained the situation and informed her of the poor customer service I received from Derrick. She took all the info and checked it out and came back shortly thereafter to inform me the price was incorrect and "in the rare case" of incorrect data input, Bookit.com has the right to cancel any booking.

Fortunately, I didn't book it. A few minutes later I checked the same web site and price and it had gone up! Can't trust em' and advise you to be cautious, be very cautious and having read some of the complaints above, I guess I was one of the lucky ones, having only lost time.

Makes me wonder about all those who have lost but have not complained here.

scam
I have no idea how this happened but I get my confirmation back and there is no car included. I specifically needed air, hotel and car and I know I inputted them into the computer and told the reservation agent!! So I call them and they were not helpful at all. They said sorry it only has flight and hotel. I think this may be some scam they are pulling. BE CAREFUL!!! Print everything out. SO YOU HAVE PROOF. this lesson cost me almost 200.00 WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!

misrepresentation
CHECK OTHER OPTIONS FIRST!!! I purchased a vacation package I thought was on the beach at Sandos Playacar Riviera Hotel and Spa only to find out it is 10 minutes away from the beach! Although pictures represented people ON the beach etc, if you stay in the "Riviera Complex" of this "resort" you're going to be 10 minutes away. I called bookit.com to complain about this and the only thing they offered was a DOWNGRADE to a 3 star room, from my 5 star room in order to be "closer" to the beach. They did offer to change hotels for me. But I liked the accomodations of this NEW all inclusive resort. I'm feeling let down and left out in the cold and I know my wife is disappointed. This was going to be our honeymoon as we didn't have a chance to have one when we married 3 years ago. So make sure you ask OBVIOUS questions BEFORE you make your decision! Good Luck to you all, I hope I've helped at least one person out.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
We booked a trip from Sacramento to Cabo for 8, which included two kids under five and my parents, both 65+ through bookit.com. It was a terrible experience.

With less than 24 hours prior to departure, they changed our flight plans THREE TIMES. Our non-stop direct flight was changed to stops in Dallas, Guadalaraja, and then LA.

They blamed Air Mexicana on a cancelled flight, but Mexicana personnel informed us they notified bookit.com three months prior.

Basically, bookit.com did WANT to notify us earlier, because we could have changed flights or went with another agency. We were at their mercy.

The service was terrible. Long holding on the "customer service" phone. Blaming someone else. Holding for another department or manager. Terrible.

In addition, we were told they felt bad and would credit our transfer fees ($35). It didn't happen. It took 2 phone calls and after we had already been promised it was credited, it wasn't.

My family and my company books a lot of travel. We have used bookit.com and been happy in the past.

We will never use this company again, and WORD IS SPREADING regarding the terrible service and lack of respect for customers.

Overcharging Credit Card
Do not use Bookit.com! If you do, print off every sheet of every quote & transaction for your records. I just booked a room for $622, tax incl. & my card was charged $917. They wouldn't even consider reversing charges until I faxed them verification of the price quote received, etc. Several phone calls later, they still have not resolved it & say it will take some time to "look it over" and "make a decision". WHAT DECISION?!?!?!? They screwed up big time & in the meantime, I have almost $300 in unauthorized charges on my card. This is absolutely terrible customer service & from what I've read here, a regular business practice with Bookit. My advice: find the rate & call the online rep. while the screen's still up or better yet, FORGET BOOKIT.

misleading & rip you off
Don't ever book with (bookIt.com). They overcharge you and miss lead you. I booked 4 days in Los Cabos and they over charged my about $400 more. I also booked for 4 adults and they ended up having to book 4 people in one small room with one bed and pull out sofa bed. Can you imagine taking a vacation where I'm at a resort and I have to sleep in a sofa bed? When I called the bookit.com about the booking they said it was my fault for not reading the fine print on what they have provided before I booked. Be careful with these site. If I were you, I would use a different travel site. They suck!
