Uses fine print to DOUBLE charges
Borderlinx provides a great online shopping forwarding service, except for one major issue, their charges. While they advertise that their reasonable charges by weight, in reality almost every single packages will be charged by volumetric weight which means by the size of the box. This will result in the package size -therefore the price- to double. While this is legal and not really fraud but using fine print to double gains in such a manor is very unprofessional.

Band Customer Service (Borderlinx)
Borderlinx service is bad.. My camera lens has been delivered to their Facility but they couldn't find it. From Amazon tracking it shows it has been delivered by UPS.. It's been 10 days since I logged the case in Borderlinx but until now they said Management is looking in to this issue...it's basically the same answer every time (daily) I contact their customer service... really bad customer service..

The other 2 items that I ordered in Amazon arrived in their Facility on Jan 21 (ordered at the same time I ordered the lens - Jan 17)

Borderlinx Service Is Unbelievably Bad
DON'T EVER USE BORDERLINX - CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL MAKE YOU DIE EARLY FROM FRUSTRATION! I updated my new shipping address on their website under 'My Account' and saved it, however the website did not capture that information and reverted to my old shipping address. When I discovered my packages were on their way to my old address, I immediately went online to rectify the problem with the helpline operator. The operator who served me was 'Oliver'. He basically told me to call the local DHL office to sort the matter of re-delivery myself. He refused to see that the problem was one of Borderlinx and that Borderlinx had the responsibility of rectifying it. Furthermore he did not provide a local DHL office number to me so I was expected to go through the inconvenience & rigmarole of getting my parcels delivered to the right address. I wasn't happy & tried my best to reason with Oliver but no, the Indian held sway. The second request I made was a simpler one, for them to help me update my new shipping address since I tried a few times and the website simply didn't work. Oliver took down my particulars and said that he would forward it to the relevant dept. Fine, but I asked him to check back with that dept to ensure that it was updated. After being evasive and lots of excuses later, he assured me that my address update would be done and that I would get an e-mail from the relevant dept. Subsequently I did get an e-mail from that relevant dept - informing me that I had to sort out the re-directing of my parcels myself with the local DHL office - duh don't I already know that from Oliver??!! What about my address update they were supposed to settle?? Well I logged in to check if it had been updated, but no, they managed to so completely incompetent. They couldn't even get somehing simple right which is to update my new shipping address, despite the assurance given by Oliver, no doubt to try and fob me off. So what to do? I'm not using them in million years and I want others to know the ugly side of Borderlinx so buyer beware! BTW, they are very expensive too.

Long time to deliver + wrong value
Site looks professional and a handy Cost Calculator. So you think everything is good!. Have made a account with Borderlinx. Ship my products (more packages from 1 shop) to Borderline. Trough the tracking from my retailer i saw the package's where arrived by Borderline in Ohio. Just 2 days later all the package's where complete. But...the value of the package's where far to high. Trough email and chat i mail the origional invoice to change the value (for taxes an custom border rates). Onother 1 or 2 days later it's changed. I made a payment by credit card. I though now it come's...No! It's now more than 9 days later and still the package's are in depot of Borderline. They can't say why the delay and when it will be send. Perhaps over 4 days. I ask why again wait for 4 days...The answer "we took us the best whe can to send". Does it take 4 more days???
No for me NO more Borderline. Thanks for nothing. I hope i GET the package's some time...still waiting! perhaps over 2 weeks???? I don't know. (Cost me a lot of money and stress)

Lousy service
The customer service from borderlinx is really sucks. They never do whatever they promised.

I have a package with non-alcohol perfume inside (which is found out by their specialist), and since one month ago they started to persuade me to wait and do not return the package. Hence I waited and waited and waited and now the deadline of refunding stated in the merchant's website has lapse. I was so angry and asked Borderlinx to return it, and they still wanna charge me admin fee and does not want to be liable if I cannot get the refund.

They always tell me that I will get the update within 24 hours, but in the end no news will come to me. The deadline set by both of me or themselves are useless. They never keep their promise.

I also encountered one case in their concierge service. They forgot to order one item in my list, which will be free recognized by the merchant's system if they did order that.
I contacted them for many times and ask for a reply. But every time they gave me different kinds of funny excuse and does not want to pay for their mistake.

Their customer service will always try to cover the things up and delay...sucks man..

Business Practices
Border linx advertises that you can get an item shipped and they look after everything including duties. You prepay all these costs. I received a U.S. address to order goods and then Borderlinx ships the goods from the U.S. to Canada. The adress is actually a DHL branch. Borderlinx has an exclusive partnership agreement with DHL. Surprisingly, DHL came to my door and demanded money. I had to pay since my goods were now held for ransom. Borderlinx refuses to refund the full amount of the shipping charges. Basically, I am only claiming what DHL charged me at the door in Canadian funds. Borderlinx is using some arbitrary date and then applying an exchange rate to come to a lesser price, of course. Just pay me what I wasn't supposed to get charged but did by DHL. It doesn't get simpler.
