Scam
DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!
I wish I would have read all the complaints prior to sending in my order. I read several of the complaints (found under Google: Botach tactiacl scam) after UPS said my order had been cancelled by Botach and that I needed to call them to see what was going on. I called and began to get jacked around like everyone else. I immediately called my bank and filed a statement of dispute to get my money back. The following seems to be their operation.
-Customer places order
-Customer receives order confirmation email with order number and tracking number
-Product never shows up
-Customer calls UPS to see why. UPS advises that Botach cancelled the order and to call Botach
-Botach says they made a mistake and the item was not actually in stock. "It should be back in stock within a week"
-Product is never restocked (never there to begin with)
- Customer gets tired of getting the runaround and gives up.
They will tell you they'll refund your money, even as far as sending emails telling you so, but they never do.
I'm at the point now where they have told me again that thy'll refund the money.
Call your bank immediately!! They're most likely the only ones that can get your money back.

Bad Experience? Please Read
Scam - a confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, esp. for making a quick profit; swindle.
Most people know the definition of the word scam, or use it because they don't educate themselves on the true infrastructure of the business.

Bad customer service
I have been shopping with Botach for years and recently having more issues along with others. I understand companies make mistakes but after a week I ask where my order was they stated it was being processed I ask to add more items and then I get another email from another person. In all it has been over a 1 1/2 weeks 10 emails and my order still hasn't been placed because they were out of one item. Everytime they sent email I would respond ASAP and almost 36 hours would pass before a reply. I got fed up and contacted them. After fixing the issues I asked if they could overnight and they stated no only 3 day even though I explained I needed the items this week. This day an age the fact they are willing to lose a customer who has spent thousands with them and referred people over the cost of overnight is very sad. Shame on you Botach! Also the CS rep said hold on she was going to talk to management I sat there for 25 minutes finally said forget it...

Item Not Shipped, Credit Card Charged
I've ordered one pair of boots for my upcoming deployment. Shipping was listed as 5-6 days via UPS. There were no indications on the website that the item was not in stock. After one week of waiting and one additional week of unsuccessful attempts to contact customer service, the only response from Botach Tactical was a charge to my credit card in the amount of $104.26 for the boots I've never received. I'm less than one week from overseas deployment. With no response from Botach Tactical, I had to buy those boots somewhere else. This company is a joke. I should do my research before I decided to purchase anything from them.

Took a long time and sent the wrong part
I ordered an accessory rail for my shotgun magazine tube from Botach Tactical on a Wednesday. That same day, I ordered the flashlight and fastener I was going to attach to the rail. Both orders came from California. By the time my flashlight arrived on Saturday, my accessory rail order from Botach still had not been processed. I called Botach on Monday and asked about the status of my order and a woman promised to call me back with that information. She called me the next day and said the product would be delivered the next Monday. When the rail did arrive, it was the wrong one. Fortunately, it was a better and more expensive rail and I was charged for the original.
To make a long story short (too late!), if you can get the product elsewhere, do it. It will more-than-likely get to you faster and be the original product you ordered.

Deceptive Business Practices
Worst internet based company I have ever dealt with. One person running the order desk that has no idea what is going on, so communication and information is terrible. They advertise items as in stock, when they are not. You don't find this out until the order is shipped and they have charged your credit card. It's like pulling teeth to get your money refunded. I waited 3 weeks to get a refund. I will NEVER do business with them again, no matter how good the price of an item is...because chances are, if it's a good price, they don't have it in stock.

Theft
I am a police officer in Washington State. I ordered some parts online for a rifle that I carry in my patrol vehicle. The company is called Botach Tactical. I submitted the order on 11-04-09. On 11-05-09 they charged my bank account for the cost of the order, $54.24. An email was also sent to my home email address confirming that the order was sent. On 11-19-09, I received an email stating that my order status had changed. The status of the order was described as “Bill information voided”. On 11-23-09, I sent an email to the company informing them I had still not received the order and inquired about the “Bill information voided”. I received no response to my inquiries.
Numerous emails and phone calls were made with no response. After a few months, I sent an email from my work email address, which they immediately responded to, probably since the email originated from a government email address. The email informed me the items were on back order and would be mailed once they arrive. Four months passed and the company still did not send me my items. Since I need these items for my job, I placed an order with another company for the same items. I then called Botach Tactical and asked for a refund. I also sent them an email asking for the refund, explaining that it had been four months and I could no longer wait.
A text message was sent to my work phone asking for my debit card information again to credit my card, since their system erases the information after the order is made. I called and left my debit card information on their machine. On 03-08-10, I received an email from Botach Tactical stating that my order was mailed. I wanted a refund rather than the items, since I have already received the items from another vendor, however, I can use them on my department issued shotgun, so I didn't mind. On 03-08-10, I checked my bank account and observed a pending charge from Botach Tactical for $54.24. Since I already paid for the items when I placed the order, I immediately called Botach Tactical and left a voicemail informing them they had charged me twice.
They have refused to return my calls, or refund the money. I contacted my bank and informed them of the situation. They stated that I need to file a dispute claim, which they turn over to Visa Debit. On 03-09-10 my account was charged the additional $54.24 from Botach Tactical. I called them again today, 03-10-10, but only got the voice mail. I left no voice mail this time around. I am considering filing charges myself.

Still scamming customers
A few weeks ago, I ordered a pair of duty boots through their new website, botachdefense.com. Within a few days, I received a shipping notification. So far, so good. So I go to their website a day or two later to see if they had added the UPS tracking number - after all, the link on their homepage says "Track order". The order page simply said that my order had shipped or "had reached the final stages of processing". Well, which is it?
So I emailed customer service twice, and received no response. After my third email, they emailed me back and told me that the boots were being shipped from the manufacturer and they had just sent the order over. In other words, they are using a dropshipper (and it's not the manufacturer, Rocky, so that was an outright lie).
A few more weeks go by, and despite my repeated emails asking for a UPS tracking number from their dropshipper, most of my emails go unanswered. The one email that "Dan" responded to was simply to tell me to wait another week and then he could help me with finding my order.
I wait a few more days, send two more emails and get ignored. I finally filed a complaint with the BBB and sent Botach an email threatening to file a complaint with the FTC. Suddenly, Dan from Botach is readily available to help me with my issues and claims that there was a delay in processing my order which he amazingly just discovered this morning. So, in other words, they took my money with no intention of sending my merchandise, and sent me fake shipping confirmations to try and cover it up.
I've asked that they simply refund my money so I can buy from a reputable company. They have agreed to refund my money but it remains to be seen if they will actually issue the refund.
Botach Tactical and Botach Defense are thieves and should be prosecuted. I'd file the charges myself if my DA would extradite them from CA.

Never received item
Man I wish I would have simply Googled "Botach rip off" like I usually do when I order online. I have experienced the exact thing many others are reporting. I ordered a holster and my card was charged the next day. I was sent a "UPS Tracking Number" and forgot about it for a week. When my holster hadn't arrived 10 business days later, I checked the UPS Tracking Number. You guessed it: "Billing Information Received, " no shipping activity. I emailed but based on the HUGE number of complaints against this company I have already contacted my CC company to cancel the charge.
Do your research. I almost always Google the company name + "rip off." Usually this gets a couple hits by obviously disgruntled customers. In this case, this company has HUNDREDS of complaints. Obviously they are shady. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Worst experience ever
I really wish that I had read a review about this company before I had ever ordered from them... If I did I would have seen that last sentence a hundred times I am sure.
Well here is the story. I found a Camelbak Tri-Zip for a really great price on their website. So I went ahead and ordered it with the expensive 2nd day air, because I needed it within 4 days, so I though that would be a smart bet for it to arrive on time.
Well I get the confirmation email sent quickly with my order number, tracking, a phone number, etc. So everything looks set, nothing is back ordered and it seemed to have processed rather quickly.
Well 3 days go by nothing in the mail yet. I am really busy in my daily life so I think nothing of it. 4 days go by no package. So I get frustrated and decide to check my tracking number maybe I wasn't home when UPS tried delivering it. Nope the tracking number is not in their system. So I call botach, no answer not even a voice mail...
I call them a couple of hours later and get a woman on the phone. She didn't say her name, and was just lost in the sauce. I gave her my order number and asked her what the basic, where is my order why hasn't it shipped yet, are you out of stock. She puts me on hold then a couple of minutes later tells me that her supervisor will have to call me back, and tried hanging up. I yell no stay on the phone, what the *** is up with my order? She stutters and tells me that my zip code is wrong... I look at my order confirmation and tell her that it shows that my zip code is correct. I've lived at my residence for 15 years... I ask her what the zip says on her computer and she tells me the right zip. Then she asks well I have to get my supervisor to call you. I say well do you have my number, no. I give her my number and she promptly hangs up. Wow I'm getting pissed at this point... Well it's been one week and I have not been able to get in contact with them... When ever I can reach a voice mail, which has only been 2 out of 20 times I leave a nice polite professional message, yet I haven't received a call back.
