Rude gas attendant
I usually go to NJ to fill up my gas but I was running near empty (about 2 gallons left) so I decided I'd fill up a little just to be on the safe side. I stepped out the car and was told that it was full service only. So, I asked the man for just 1 gallon of gas. He gave me a hard time and asked me how much in terms of dollars. So, I said "just give me $5 then". He told me I needed more and I stated that's all I wanted. He then refused to service me and I said "I'm fine with doing it myself". He said I can't do that, stop being so cheap and fill up more. I decided to leave. I told the man he needed to learn better manners and stop trying to patronize his customers to which he responded by "go fuck yourself". I told him to adjust his attitude and then decided to let it go and leave, but with the decision that I'm officially off BP gas. Hello, Exxon/Mobil!

lpg freeze burn to my hand
about 8.25am sunday 5th june. at the bp service station 364 the ridge, hastings. i ended up having to go to hospital with a lpg freeze burn to my hand after using a dodgy lpg pump at one of your bp service station. i managed to fill up in the correct way but when i went to release the pump trigger for the nozzle, it sprayed lpg directly on my hand. so i immediately gripped the trigger again to stop the leak and waved to the attendant for help, when the chap from the kiosk came he said he'd switched the pump off and it was ok to let go, so i did and got another blast on my hand again, so i gripped the trigger again to stop the leak. he went back inside and got some gloves and managed to force the nozzle from my vehicle. i'm not very happy at all.

defective product
Tonight, Sunday 13th February 2011, I drove into the local BP garage, intending to fill up my Mondeo with unleaded gasoline. However, I noticed that the pump was operating very slowly, and called a halt after putting £38 worth of fuel in the tank.
I mentioned to the cashier that the pump was sluggish, and she told me that she thought they were running out of fuel. I didn't think any more about this until my car cut out, a mile or so along the road, in the dark. Dead. I didn't have a cell phone with me, and walked back to Stranraer, intending to ask the cashier if I could use the garage phone, so I could get some assistance. On the way, I passed a brand new Ford Fiesta with the bonnet up...yes, they'd filled up at the same garage. Not only that, they'd already called for help, and informed me that the local Automobile Association were dealing with six concurrent call-outs, all with the same symptoms. Then, the cashier wouldn't allow me to use the garage telephone initially, until I managed to convince her to call her manager at home. It gets worse...NOW, the cashier tells me that people have been coming back to the garage to complain ALL DAY!!! You'd have thought that it might have dawned on her that there was a serious problem...and, that even if she didn't have the authority to do anything, a call to her manager, at home, would have confirmed that it might have been better to close the garage. As a resuly of doing NOTHING, then probably scores of drivers have paid around £40 for the privilege of filling up with water-saturated fuel from the dregs of the forecourt tanks, or had our fuel injectors blocked with gunk, again from the bottom of the tanks. I've got a couple of real beefs with this -
- there should mechanical procedures in place to prevent the sale of such contaminated fuel
- leaving filling stations in the charge of people devoid of either authority or COMMON SENSE is not a good idea.
I'm now looking at a bill for several hundred pounds to get my tank drained and my engine examined, caused by £38 of defective fuel. The customer service of BP is worse than non existent. I'm going to try to get my money back, but, on the evidence of the type of people I'm dealing with, I'm not hopeful. Either way, I will never, ever, fill up with BP again.

Employee harassment
I currently work for almost two years for a BP Gas Station convenience store - On 3 or more occasions, I have reported to my store manager that a former employee has been sexually harassing me. He told me to forget about it and just wait on the person who no longer works there but is a frequent customer. On one of these occasions he followed me into the cooler and grabbed me and told me he wanted to have sex; on another occasion he took a sex enhancing pill off the counter and asked me to try it out. I do not know what my rights are in this regard but I feel that I should not have take this abuse.

Rudeness of employees
Half of the gas pumps didnt work. People stumbling between pumps to find one working, tempreture below the freezing with wind. Noticed about the problem to employee named Eddie, asked to at least marked pumps that arent working. In response he told me to get out of there. Employee acted totally mentally unstable which is totally unacceptible when gas station also sells knifes(i dont know why), i tried to call the number on the pump to complain right away, and employee just started yelling at me to get out, writing my tag number and making some sort of phone calles. At this point i didnt feel safe around that mentally unstable individual with shelfs full of knifes. In addition to all that, i should also mention that if few pumps stop working when tempreture drops below freezing normally its a first sign of water being added to the gasoline.

Bad gas
I bought gas on the way to Florida, and after driving for a half hr I just enter North Carolina. My Van started pinging and hesitating until I broke down. I drove from NY and my van was fully tuned up before departure and is well maintained. I kept stallling and stalling. I realized I bought crappy gas from this BP station in Carson Va. I had to keep buying 93 and adding gas treatment to get the van running. I spent 7 hrs in North carolina because of the purchase of bad gas from this BP station the owner is Wilkinson Oil and food co. I was lucky I was able to flush out the bad gas by continually topping off the tank with 93 and gas treatments. It was a nightmare. I had to walk along 95 with a gas can to buy some 93 or the van would not start. Do not patronize this station you will regret it. it is located just off the ramp in carson Va on 95 .

Defective Pumps and Non-English Speaking Owners
Today, I was getting gas at a fuel station, and the automatic shut off did not work and spilled gasoline all over me, my car and the ground. I walked into the store and told the person working, but he acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about. I asked him several times how can I clean this up and again acted like he didn’t understand me. It was today 8-20-10 located at the BP station at 290 N Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL, United States, Its was pump number 4 using the 93 octane fuel.
