I was mis sold the service and I have undergone harassment of awaiting long without activation of my services
I bought two post paid connections from BPL on 12th Feb 2009. I already have an existing BPL number for past 6 months which is on my residential address. I had submitted a copy of address proof as my leave & license agreement which was accepted. For my new connections, I submitted the same documents and I was ensured that the number would be activated since the documents sufficed the necessary proofs. However, I was asked to submit a letter from my employer since the leave & license was on my company's name. I did the same and I was ensured that It would suffice. I was later informed that I would not be allowed a connection since the proofs didnt suffice enough. I was mis sold the service and I have undergone harassment of awaiting long without activation of my services.

More than 75 days are passed and i had still not received any amount
I had converted my mobile scheme from postpaid to prepaid and i was told that my advance payment with their company will be refunded back to me within 45 working days and already more than 75 days are passed and i had still not received any amount. I personally visited gallery twice n also made more than 6 calls in customer care but my complain is not been taken seriously by them.

This is a time-worn complaint against the the BPL billing section
This is a time-worn complaint against the the BPL billing section, ALTHOUGH I am a prepaid customer. The person in question is a lady who goes by the name of Pradnya and a gent by the name of Amol. I have put in a formal request previously to stop calls from the BPL billing section to no avail. I have been spoken to very rudely with absolutely no courtesy and it has been more than a few months of this rude behaviour. The cal centre execs. have a very demeaning and demanding way to talk to customers, even though they call right in the middle of my day, during important meetings and to make matters worse they dont even apologise and laughingly bang the phone down when i request to speak to a team leader.

Bad Service
i am prepaid susbcriber , i had given my documents 3 days back , after that they send me a msg your request could not proceeded please call mobile assist 0n 555, after that last night they suspended my both prepaid line , when i visit mahim gallery they said signature is not there on application form , i signed on application & they promise me that my line wil activted within an hour BUT STILL IT IS SUSPENDED SO PLEASE I REQUEST DO NOT USE BPL MOBILE. Now i have already taken airtel card & i am not going to use BPL anymore. AIRTEL & VODAFONE IS BEST

Wrong deductions
3 weeks ago, BPL mobile deducted 30/rs for caller tune which I had not activated. On visiting gallery I was told that due to some mistake this hs been the case with most of the subscribers & my money would be reverted back, it was not & o I called up mobile assist, there I was told that money wouldn't be reverted back, I talked to the floor supervisor, she too said the same, then I talked to nodal officer & told her that I would go to consumer court & make the company pay, give it in newspaper, she told me she would get back to me. She didn't call back but I called her back, she told me money is sent back to my balance, which actually was not. On shouting, finally my balance was reverted back 5 days after the incident & lot of pain to be taken.

Very poor service!
I had changed my billing from Prepaid to post paid about 14 days back. I paid the necessary amount and submitted the papers to a BPL Dealer. I got my connection after 1 week after repeated calls to them. It worked for a day and was deactivated again. When I checked with BPL Gallery I was told that my photos and Photo-identification papers were not submitted. After submitting the papers on 20th or March 07, my connection was restored only on Thursday noon. Today morning i.e 24th march i find that it has been deactivated again and on checking they say that the I have not submitted any documents. The CSR's at the Mahim gallery are passing the buck on each other. One Maidul saying that Sonali (who had taken my documents and who was not present today) is looking into your matter. I am just waiting for the 6 month period after which I am going to discontinue with BPL
PLS DO NOT TAKE BPL MOBILE. IT GIVES V BAD SERVICE. BAD BAD BAD

Not able to make calls at all - Network Busy
I had spoken to corporate desk twice on 808 & was assured that the problem would be solved in 15 days. But after the passage of 4 months also my problem remains. Now they are also not able to give further assurances. I wonder if takeover by Hutch & consequently by Vodaphone had resulted in this. Counting how many more months or else opt for another operator.

Billing problems
I have 2 mobile nos from BPL Mobile. I have given Auto pay from my credit card so as to there is no delay in bill payment. This was working fine till Nov 06. Since Dec every time BPL comes back saying that my bank declines the payment I had check with my bank they are saying that my card is in active mode has large limit than BPL mobiles bill still BPL disconnects my connection. This has happened 5-6 times. I have a confirmation from my bank that there is no problem in my card. I have written to BPL at least 10times but none of their senior level people looked in this I am suffering even monetary losses due to this & frustration. It feels like they want to harass you. I have very clean record of Bill payment & not even a late payment as i have always kept my bill payment on Auto Pay. I have submitted this Auto Pay to their Malad Gallery but i dont know why their operations dept or customer Care Dept are not able to solve this. My sincere request to all new mobile connection buyers to read through my complaint.

Balance reduced to less than zero without any calls being received or made
I was in Germany for about two months during which barring one or two numbers no one could reach me despite activating international roaming on my cell. This caused a lot of inconvenience and I had to pay additional money to make phone-calls.
But then on 9th November suddenly my balance went off from Rs. 2,500 to a negative balance after sending and receiving one sms. I logged a complaint on the online system for which I receive two apparently unique complaint numbers DOC-C-11117465 and DOC-C-111121812 which itself speaks a lot about the complaint management system.
After returning when I called the absolutely useless help desk and explained the situation to several executives over and over again, they finally gave me the two numbers on which apparently I had spoken. I tried both these numbers here locally from my land line- one number is out of service and the other is a fax line. First of all I could not receive any calls while I was in Germany and then these numbers that were given by the help desk are not even functional numbers.
I am really annoyed now and its getting worse cause today i have had another debit of Rs. 99 for activating an inactive international roaming.
