This company should be avoided at all costs
H R Bradford Bakers, as is their correct name, have a website advertising on line purchasing of hampers and other bakery goods. I ordered two hampers on the 15th December which were charged to my debit card immediately, for Christmas delivery. One hamper was delivered around the 18th Jan 2011, and one was delivered 20th January. Neither of the hampers were the ones ordered. I ordered ones in a bamboo basket but both were delivered in tatty cardboard boxes and contained only a few of the products they advertise as being in the hamper The box was badly damaged and some of the contents were smashed. I sent photos to them for a refund, but they are extremely ignorant and fail to deal with any emails or telephone calls.
This company should be AVOIDED at all costs, as they fail to be able to trade in a manner that any decent company are required to do. I have dozens of unanswered emails to them
They blame DHL, but I contacted DHL glasgow in early January, who told me that although they had been delivering for H R Bradford Bakers some time ago, they had NO parcels waiting to be delivered for Bradfords at all. They will not give you any DHL tracking references either, which they are required to do. DHL were concerned that Bradfords were blaming them for something which was clearly not true.
To add salts to the wounds of many people, they are now sending out marketing literature offering you discount on Mothers day products, due to the issues at Christmas ! As if anyone would ever purchase anything from Bradford Bakeries every again.
This company is an absolute disgrace.

Late delivery and missing items from Christmas Hamper
Like many others I have seen on review sites on the internet regarding this company, I ordered a hamper in NOVEMBER for delivery to Canada on December 22nd. It did not arrive until January 10th. It was, apparently, collected from their warehouse on December 17th but didn't even leave the country until the 21st, so there was no way it was ever going to make the GUARANTEED date of Dec 22nd. Luckily, the customer "service" person at Bradfords gave me the tracking number for pareclforce so I could follow it up myself but why should I be doing this after paying them over £200... £70 alone for delivery.
However, when the hamper eventually arrived there were several items missing from the order and rather a lot of substitutions (although everything else arrived in good condition)...
I have sent countless e mails, called customer service and have sent three seperate recorded dleivery letters (all tracked and logged) regarding their appaling service and requesting at least a refund of the delivery charges as it did not arrive on time. I have heard not one peep from Bradfords. An absolutle shocker of a company... never, ever use them.
My credit card company is also chasing them up as I paid for the hamper by credit card and this is covered by the Consumer Credit Act 1974.

Avoid being ripped off by this company
I ordered a hamper from this company on 25/1/11 which was due to be delivered on 26/1/11. I phoned them on 28/1/11 & was told there had been a problem with parcels being dispatched but they were now doing so. Since then I have emailed & telephoned several times & got no response. My credit card company have confirmed this amount has been debited from my card & having googled them I have now found a customer review site which indicates that I am just one of many who have been ripped off by this company.
