brake-0 is bad

manager started fights with customers
I've went to this place a couple times, each time I go the staff is very rude.
Last time I went, I asked about an oil change, they looked at my car and said, "We don't carry your oil filter" I went across the street and the staff there said that I had the standard Toyota oil filter and that they found out from a former brake-o staff member that they say that to those they cannot upsell to.
Now on to THIS time... We had a coupon for $58.99 for two brake pads. We still called ahead of time and he said $110. We went in and asked about it. At first he said no and that they werent the right pads, then he said that he could put on a different pad on my car for the same price of $58.99.
They took off the tires and the brake pads (threw those on the floor in pieces), he came in saying that my back drum brakes weren't working (which they were). He (the owner) said that the back tires spin and that puts extra wear on the front brakes. So we stated that we would get that looked at later. The two gentlemen then left the premises for 45 min. When they came back they said that they didn't have the brake pads and they would have to put on special ones for (you guessed it) $110. When my boyfriend asked about the deal he had origionally put in place (putting on a different kind for the $58.99 special) the owner got irate and started fighting with my boyfriend (raising his voice- everything) they said that they could put the old brake pads back on (remember the ones in pieces on the floor) trying to stick us with the same cheap brake pads for almost twice the price. He continued to yell, and actually got right up in my boyfriends face a few times as if he was going to hit him (great customer service huh). He then said some swear words using the Lord's name in vain, when I asked him not to say that he said that we couldn't tell him about the Lord and that we need to learn about the Lord (the owner didn't know that I'm going to school for ministry and my boyfriends mother is a minister). At that point, I was on the phone with the brake-o regional manager and I asked them to just put on my shattered brake pads and go home.
Now the pads are in horrible shape and I have no way to get to work until this is resolved.
All I've got to say is that if you don't have the pads, say you don't have the pads, don't agree to put pads on, take apart the old ones and then try to stick your customer into a situation where they have no choice but pay extra money.

The product is cheap, service is horrible!
I previously brought my car to Brake-O, on April 26, 2006, to be serviced for new brakes. Less than a year later, they were already squeaking. When I talked with the Honda dealership, I was informed that the brake pads were compressing to the router too hard and it will ultimately wear out the brakes much quicker, they said it was not immediate harm but that the brakes will go bad soon. I called the location on Piedmont Circle, where I originally brought it too and asked for them to repair the brakes. I dropped my car off at 1pm and said I would come back to pick up the car, this was Saturday March 10, 2007. Two hours later I received a phone call from Leon Williams, the manager, saying that the car was no longer under warranty. I told him to put the keys in the glove box and I will pick up the car later, I did not want my car serviced there again. I specifically told Leon, that I would not be able to pick the car up until the next day, March 11, 2007, he said that was fine.
I go to pick up the car the next day at 12pm to find the passenger side wrecked. I call the police and file a police report. The following day on March 12, 2007, I call Leon to explain and say that I noticed 3 cameras, all directly facing my car, and I would like to have the video coverage looked at. He informs that he this incident is good for them because there has been lots of loitering in their parking lot but that he will call the corporate office and call me right back. I do not hear back the rest of the day and I call the following day on March 13, 2007.
He informs me that the camera footage is being looked over but that the tape cannot fast forward, so they are reviewing each minute. Four days later, I still hear no word, but then my insurance company calls to tell me that Leon says they are unable to find footage, the incident did not happen within 24 hours of my car being at the shop. Leon has either directly lied to me or my insurance company. I believe there is a cover up or the company is failing to view all the camera footage. Either way, the service was horrible, the management and property are poorly run, and the product is cheap! My advise is don't go there and please spread the word on how badly I was treat and lied too!
