I registered my 14 year old son for minor football and paid $360.00. Unfortantely, my son did not like the game and only after 2 practises decided to drop out. I had made several attempts at contacting them either by phone or email with no success in getting my money back. They first told me that the council was meeting in the Fall and that this matter would be brought up but that I would lose $100 cancellation fee. After that I never got any return phone calls or email replies.

After reading the contract I realized that there are no refunds after April 1 (6 days after I registered).

My complaint is that; 1) they could have returned my phone calls or email requests and told me the truth that they never had any intentions of returning my money ($260, with the $100 cancellation fee) and 2) I don't think that April 1st is a fair date because it deters kids from trying out since as parents we are stuck with the bill.

So be warned when signing up your kids...READ EVERYTHING and ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS.
