I had my vehicle in for service to have two computers replaced. Dealer replaced the computers. I drove home and my vehicle lit up like a Christmas tree after 3 mile. I turned around and brought the vehicle back and let the turbo cool down before turning the engine off. (I was watching the EGT on my Bullydog). The tech came over wondering what happened and I told him I drove away and lights came on in the dash. He took it back and 30 min later my truck was ready. He said there was a different VIN number in the computer on the vehicle (computers they just put in.. ECU and TIPM). He said something reprogramed a differnt VIN and guessed it was the Bullydog. When I got into my truck the sensor wire leading into the plug in was ripped out of the Bullydog. I questioned the service manager Mike and he said it came in like that. I told him that was BS because I was watching the Bullydog Program Management tool to wait for the exhaust gas temps to cool before shutting off the diesel truck. He said the tech told him it was like that. My guess is when the tech unplugged the Bullydog to plug in his computer he ripped it out. So.. I ordered a new cable from my 4x4 shop and it took a few months to get in because they were busy. They finally replaced the wire and Program Management Tool (Bullydog PMT) was working fine in stock postion.

A month later I was driving in the mountains towing and need some extra power. I clicked up the PMT to Performance from stock and nothing happend except a little red security light. I made another appointment to get my truck in and waited 6 weeks before they could fit me. The 4x4 shop looked at the PMT and said it was reading a different VIN number from the truck and that is why it won't work. I took it back to Brandon Dodge and spoke with the same service manager. He calls me the next day and said the TIPM and Cluster are showing another VIN and something burned a different VIN into the Cluster. I said well the TIPM is under warranty (12 months, 10k miles and I had under 4 mon and 5 k). Service manager Mike said Dodge won't cover it because it has a different VIN in it. I told him I know that is what it did when I drove it off the lot before. He said because I have aftermarket stuff on my truck I need to fork out another $1500.00. He said the Bullydog possibly reprogrammed the vin. That Bullydog has been on that truck since a month after I bought it 60k miles ago. I talked to Bullydog and they said there is no way it could reprogram a VIN in the Cluster. Brandon Dodge won't call into Dodge HQ and talk to them or try and find out what is causing it. They said Dodge won't warranty the computer because it has a differnt VIN in it. Basically they are implying I pulled out a computer from another truck and put it in mine. They won't explain to Dodge that the day I drove it out of the shop it threw a VIN. Bullydog offered to speak with the tech when I offered it but they said it won't do any good! They won't see my business again and I won't buy another DODGE.. No wonder people don't buy American. No one wants to take responsibilty.
