I checked into the Breezes Montego Bay resort on 07/31/2008 to get married on 8/1/2008 which was our dating anniversary. Myself my wife and our travel agent had spoken with the 'wedding coordinator" over the phone several time before our arrival. We were told to bring my divorce decree and copies of our birth certificates as documentaion for our marriage. After arriving I was told that we also needed our social security cards(which was not mentioned by ANYONE we spoke to. In addition to that we were told that the day we reserved to be married on was not available ( due to a national holiday) I found it strange that the coordinator didn't know there was a holiday on the date she booked. After the date mix up we were told that we have to reschedule our marriage and also pay an additional one hundred dollars to confirm it since it was different from the date THEY reserved. After haggling with the resort manager the entire first day of our stay they finally agreed to accept the paperwork we had and waive the fee. The wedding was scheduled but, half of the items that were advertised on the website were not available or the staff had no idea of what we were speaking about! The wedding was done and the reception began. The staff that assisted with the ACTUAL wedding were somewhat help so, I guess that why they decided to drink the majority of the complementary champagne. The imenities were also not as described by the website. Its now 2011 and we STILL have not recieved the marriage certificate and also can't get any service from Breezes corporate since the Montego Bay location has been turned into a new resort. If you enjoy hot dogs, hamburger, jerk chicken and an unoccupied italian resturant as fine dining, this is the place for you. I forgot to mention the photographer who took our wedding photos and was supposed to deliver them to our room before we departed. That didn't happen but luckily the lady a the front desk knew him and could "hook us up" if we left cash instead of paying by credit card. There is a positive in this story fifty US dollars will get you a lot of wedding photos if you meet the right person! Thanks again Breezes for ruining my wedding and honeymoon!
