past due balance
I have had brighthouse cable for years and years off and on, but never have i had them come bang on my door for $30.00 i had a past due balance of $30.o0 and paid it on Friday July 15th 2011 on Monday July 18th 2011 they sent someone to bang my door in over $30.00 which they didn't receive because it was already paid and then told me there would be a $20.00 collection fee...What the Heck... Are you serious if its that serious then just cut the service off. The stupid person that came to collect it was banging like the darn police. REALLY!!!This has got to be a JOKE.

Internet NOT for Online Students
As a full-time student, I am required to participate in online classes and lectures, and I also take some of my exams online while obtaining my second college degree. I've had Brighthouse internet for less than two weeks and my grades are already DROPPING because the internet stops working for ten to fifteen minutes at least once an hour, which doesn't not allow me to participate and therefore causes me to lose credit. It also is extremely difficult to take an online test when you have to re-enter your answers to 100+ questions and re-do essays over and over again because the internet does not work. I will soon be switching back to the internet service I've had for the past 4 years (U-verse)... we never should have tried something new in the first place. Also, we have three computers, and it stops working on all three, at the same time, so we know it is the internet service that SUCKS!!! DO NOT BUY IT IF YOU NEED TO BE ONLINE FOR CLASSES.

Lack of customer service
The internet connection keeps dropping and we have similar issues with their cable TV. I have been calling this time for days now to get it fixed and keep on being promised that a Manager will call me, that was 3 days ago. I have logged several complaints over the past several months and they really dont care about their customers at all. If you have the option do NOT sign up with them.
Our main problem besides the internet dropping is that we keep loosing the information for our local area on the Weather Channel's local on the 8's. Living in Florida having this information during hurricane season is absolutley paramount. Again, Palm Coast Cable suck and do not care about anyone but themselves.

unreturned equipment
I returned my Brighthouse box a while back and there still is a charge for $600 on my credit report. Can you believe that! I had to pay a lease for the box and when I got my service interrupted due to a move, they went after me for that much money. Come on now it's just a box and I paid for it. They came to my house installed the box for $70 and now they want $600 for the used box. All they are gonna do with it is throw it away or use it as parts. I am happy with satelite, if I move I just leave the dish and they give me a new one for free.

Loud ads
Most commercials for local businesses (including Brighthouse), when aired on cable channels, such as Fox News and Discovery, are much louder than the regular programming. So much louder at times that it is startling and almost painful. I have complained to Brighthouse at least three times without even a reply except "we'll look into it".
