I made the unfortunate decision to join Brite Vacation Club. I was very apprehensive at first but the sales team talked a lot of good talk and I joined. The sales man stated that we could get a 2-3 bedroom suite in Disneylands Grand Californian Hotel. My family and I are very big Disney fans and have always wanted to stay there. This was the clincher and I bought it. Had the salesman not mentioned Disney as part of the Brite Vacation Club i would not have joined. I was also promised by the salesman that my monthly membership would never exceed $89 each year.
I was not able to take my family on any vacations for one year due to finances but continued to pay the monthly amount for the initial cost of the fee to join the Club. After one year and search on the company website i was not able to locate any information about Disney. I called the Grand Californian and inquired about the 2-3 bedroom suites that they had. They informed me that they did not have any 2-3 bedroom suites in the hotel. I also received my first yearly membership renewal and it stated that it would be $199 for a one year renewal. That is 2.235 times more that wat was promised to me in the beginning. I have been calling the customer service number and have not yet spoken to anyone who can answer my questions. I have tried many times only to be left with the option to leave a message with a promise of a call back. I have never had Brite Vacation Club contact me about my membership. They have called several times to inform me about special deals they are having but when i start to ask questions i always get put on hold and have to leave a voicemai.
