Unethical Business Practices and Corrupt Management! Unknowledgeable Drivers and Rude Owner. Wedding Planners and engaged Couples BEWARE! My husband and I were dropped off an hour early at our reception by our Driver Jason.( We had previously been picked up at the church in the Rolls and then had we`d been getting pictures taken in the park and so neither of us were aware of what time it was) Our driver stated that he was getting us to our reception a "little early." Not once did he mention it was an hour early nor did he ask us if we wanted to drive around some more due to having paid for the time. So imagine our shock and surprise when we entered the building to discover that people were still decorating the facility due to it being an hour before guests were to arrive. By the time we realized what had happened he had driven away. Neither of us had a cell phone on us or the company business card. It was our wedding day and we had paid top dollar to have wedding professionals take care of the details. British motor coach states online that it`s drivers are real clock watchersby stating,
"Our drivers keep a close eye on the clock so you can depend on them to be there on time every time. They’re courteous and well schooled in how to provide for the comfort of our passengers. And in an area as congested as ours, their in-depth knowledge of the best ways to get around traffic can be priceless"
"Whatever your occasion, we guarantee you will be surprised and delighted with the personal attention, helpfulness and guidance you will receive from our office; then implemented by our courteous and knowledgeable drivers."
Unfortunately, due to BMC and our negligent driver, my groom and I had to hunt down a catering staff person in the kitchen to open up an office for us to sit in that was cramped, hot, and boring. We spent an hour waiting in that office with nothing but wedding magazines to read. (The last thing you want to flip through after spending 8 months planning one) The whole situation was frustrating, ironic, and shocking to both my husband and I. We both felt cheated out of time that we had paid for that we could`ve been driving around in comfort enjoying the scenery. But I comforted myself and my spouse by speculating that since our driver had been so confidant in dropping us off, BMC probably was familiar with giving refunds for early drop-offs.
When we returned from our honeymoon, I called BMC and left a message with Tony the Operations Director who said he would look into it. When I never got a call back, I phoned again and spoke to Roy the owner. Not only did he tell me off the bat that his company didn` t do refunds he also was extremely rude to me and patronizing. Calling me "Young Lady" and getting my name wrong because he hadn`t bothered to look up my account even. I did manage to explain the circumstances to him although I was shaking from anger and would you believe it? Roy mocked me by saying "Oh Come on, it`s not as if the driver threw you out of the car!" and adding, " You could`ve called us. You could`ve done something." Roy was totally uncaring, completely unprofessional, and didn`t even have the courtesy to check the facts and circumstances first before mouthing off to me. I would NEVER use their company again because of this experience and I urge others to do the same.
PROTECT your Wedding day from vendors such as British Motor Coach who promise much and after the money has changed hands, end up delivering very little. Oh and did I mention our driver didn`t even really know where our Reception venue was at? He said he wasn`t as familiar with downtown Tacoma and my groom had to give him directions!!! Plus he never introduced himself until I asked him whom we had the pleasure of driving us. Little did I know that "pleasure" would be the last descriptive word I would choose to describe my experience with British Motor Coach.
