Rebates
I am still waiting for two of the three rebates checks promised when I purchased my modem from Charter Communications online site. I responded to an offer to bundle my cable and broadband with rebates to cover not only my modem cost but another $100 as well. I ordered my service in December 2007 and mailed all info with my first bill as requested. I checked the status and March 3, 2008 was the day my rebates were supposed to be mail. I received one $50 rebate, torn and tattered but my bank did honor it. When I contacted Broadbandoffers.com I was told they would reissue the additional checks although they were not obliged to according to thier terms and conditions. I was told I needed to wait 30 days before the reissue. It is now 60 days after the fact. It was only by reading these complaints online that I was able to get a phone number to contact them. Charter Communications is clueless about the contract they have with Broadbandoffers.com Not a soul there knows how to contact them and ask where I got my information that I was due a rebate!! I understand my newest checks will be delivered in two weeks...

high speed internet deal
after much coddling I have finally received the second of three rebates promised if I signed up for high speed internet with comcast. The first rebate was $55.00 the second $60.00. The third thing promised was a amazon gift card for $125 which there was and still is no way to register and/or check on. Apperently its supposed to come automatically but with all the trouble I had getting my rebates I do not have the amount of time needed to find out about this last rebate. Comcast knows nothing about rebates being offered and when you contact broadband they say their parent company does the rebates and when you call the parent company they say they dont and everyone is very abrupt and rude and no one wants to deal with it. Its just a sign of times and what our world has come to I guess.

Scam and rip off!
I purchased my modem through broadbandoffers.com and now Comcast is claiming I am leasing it from them. I don't have my receipt and when I looked online to get a number to talk to someone about getting a copy I couldn't find any contact information. And they don't keep copies of their receipts!!! What kind of company is this? I am now paying double for a modem I already purchased.

No rebate!
I paid for the Motorola Cable Modem #SB5101BB with a rebate $89.95. I had hard time to find out how to get the rebate forms which never got one, couldn't even print out, end up my time is ran out!!! It's a ripoff.

Rebate checks Never Received
I ordered service back in July, When I received the modem I went online and downloaded my first bill from Comcast and shipped off my $30 and $49 rebates.
In November I realized I hadn't received them so I went online and checked the status, it showed they had been sent out in October. I found the number 877-668-7221 online and called and was told that they rebates were sent but that they would re-issue.
Just this week I looked at the status and the notes on the order state that the checks were deemed undeliverable and were returned to broadbandoffers.com. So I sent in a request and was told that since they issued 2 checks they weren't going to issue any more. I then called and was told the same thing so I asked for a supervisor (Kate was her name) who told me that she wasn't at liberty to issue another check so I asked for her manager she said she was the highest person of authority there and that I could contact their Complaints Dept at [email protected] and put Attn: Complaints Dept in the subject line.
Once I found this site I called her back and let her know that based on the unresponsiveness to other people's complaints that I wasn't comfortable with the fact that this is my only recourse, she assured me I would be responded to. So I'm making my calendar and if I don't have a response within the 3 days she said it would take them to respond I will call her again.

She did say that the rebate terms & conditions states that checks will not be reissued, I just find it very convenient for them that 2 checks were sent to the same address that my modem and my bill are sent to each month and yet I happen to receive that bill in the mail every month without fail but suddenly when it's money that is owed to me it is undeliverable.
I'm not letting this one die purely on principle. I will get that check if it takes me contacting consumeraffaris.com (already lodged a complaint) and their companies higher ups. I did warn Kate that I would be posting her information and phone number on this site. So hopefully you will all contact her directly.

I hope you all do the same.
Give Kate my best!

Rebate scam!
Ordered modem for Comcast High Speed Internet from broadbandoffers.com in June 2007. Mailed rebates with all required forms within 2 weeks. Never heard a thing from broadbandoffers.com Followed up monthly with their online website. In December 2008 they posted online that they sent the checks in October. Never received them! They said it was too late to reissue them since the checks expired in December. Interesting how they posted the check mailing date in December - when the checks expired and they refuse to reissue them. DO NOT BUY YOUR MODEM FROM THIS COMPANY!!! IT IS A SCAM!

Ripoff on Rebates
Of course, BroadbandOffers sent me notices after 8 weeks stating I didn't submit appropriate documentation for my $49.95 and $30.00 rebates for a cable modem. I sent all the information and resent again all my copies. For the third time, I was told I didn't meet the "time" limit for the $30 item. For the $49.95, I received the certified mail receipt but nothing so far on the money, guess it'll be another 8 weeks if I'm lucky. This is exactly how they make money, bait you and then screw you. They want to wear you down so you don't challenge and when you do, they come up with the "time limit" excuse. I am sending a complaint to the Better Business Bureau as well.

Rebate offer
I sent priority mail the rebate redemption form for $49.95 with all the required information and the rebate redemption form for $30.00 wityh the required information, each to the address given & within the time period required. Both were sent certified mail & both arrived at thewir destinations at 9:08am 8/27/07.
In early Oct. I received a card from Tristar Fulfillment Services stating my rebate could not be honored due to "wrong form, no form or invalid form".
This is simply not the case. I received verification from the USPS web site as to the delivery date & time for both forms.
I feel the entire rebate offer is a scam & that I have been taken for $109.95.
Apparently there are others with the same problem.
I appreciate there being a place to register this complaint so others may benefit from it beforehand.

Fraud & cheating!
This is ridiculous. I filled up all the required information on mail in rebate forms and sent immediately to Broadbandoffers on the provided address on the forms. It was so painful.

Thats it... No reply from them at all... its almost 3 months now. Plus, they do not have any 1-800 number to call. I just can not believe that this company does not have customer service available. And even if they have, why the hell they are hiding the phone number like some BIG SECRET???

Looks like they have clear intentions, not to pay mail in rebate. Its a shame for COMCAST as well, as these kind of scenarios create wrong picture about comcast. Why Comcast is not stopping working with Broadbandoffers?

I have forgotten my money and taking it as a lesson learnt for future!

Beware!

Poor service!
The worse Internet service retail I had ever! I didn't receive my modem until one month later of my ordered date. And the rebate require you to send with the first month's bill within the 60 days from your ordered date!? That’s just unreasonable!

In order to meet the rebate requirement in time, I installed my modem as soon as I received it, and started to wait for the first month’s bill. The first month’s bill didn’t come until one and half month later from the day you installed the modem and started to use the Internet service. Then I sent 3 rebate forms (took about half hour and $2 postage) as soon as I received the first month’s bill. Then what? After one month I used their online tool to check my rebate status, and couldn’t find any one of them. I sent the e-mail to ask them about my rebate, and they just simply reply: Our records do not reflect receiving a rebate submission for this offer. While we are not liable for lost or misdirected mail, you may submit copies of your rebate submission.

What the &@#$%!

I just re-sent all 3 rebate forms today (another half hour and $2 postage), and I hope THEY WILL GET THEM THIS TIME!
