A group of friends came with me on a Saturday night to get a lane for bowling. While I was talking with the receptionist at the main desk, the employee who I was talking to, turned around and answered the phone. This was done without saying anythig along the lines of "Please hole, " "I need to get this, " or anything else to inform me that the phone was more important than the customer at the desk. She proceded to speak on the phone for nearly 15 minutes.
About 10 minutes into the phone call, I asked the other receptionist to get the manager on duty. He took about 5 minutes to get to the desk and she got off the phone about the same time he arrived. I explained the situation to him while she repeatedly interrupted my story. I tried to remain as calm as I could while I explained what was going on. She proceded to try and get my lane rented the entire time i was arguing and said that nothing could be done about the incident until after I rented a lane.
The manager remained quiet the entire time and said that there was nothing he could do. She became very rude and started blaming me for her answering the phone call. She defended her action to answer the phone because the person on the other end of line was yelling at her and the call was more important. I explained to her that a customer at the desk is far more important than someone on the phone because I was about to spend money and the person calling might not even come.
I ended up calling the general manager the next day to report them both, but I do not know if he did anything. This was not the first time that this location has been rude to me or my friends. If you can, try somewhere else to bowl. This place is terrible.
