Telephone is dead since a month
I am a BSNL telephone subscriber since 13 years. My telephone was shifted to my new place some 10 months ago only after repeated pursuance and requests and they took one month to shift. But ever since it was shifted, it used to be dead for 20 days in a month. The registering of complaints over phone hardly yielded much result. The normal reply was "cable fault". Now my phone bearing No.080-23516373 is dead since 25 days. I have been registering complaints everyday and my has been begging everybody in the department including Top Brass. The response, even on personal visit was negative and indifferent. Lower level officials indirectly suggest me to subscribe to some private company phone because BSNL, I quote "is no longer interested in land phones." I am helpless,because being a Govt. Servant I can't subscribe to any private company's phone and this power is also not in my hands. The paradox is, I have not missed the telephone bill even once. The payment is always prompt. But the service... What's that ?

Shifting of telephone problem
I am having difficulty in shifting my telephone (26604780) from Hanumanthnagar exchange to RajaRajeshwariNagar exchange. I initiated the process of shifting on 6th March 2007. Shifting process from BSNL end started on 8th March 2007.
My issue is that the shifting has not been undertaken by RR nagar exchange. I approached RR nagar exchange after a weeks time to find that nothing was done. The following information was provided to me:
1. There are no cable pairs to provide the connection.
2. Even after getting the connection, Broadband will not be provided as there are no free ports.
3. Cable pair laying will take 19 days.
Meanwhile i was told that i would be provided a WLL phone which would be a temporary and i have to surrender the same after the wired connection is provided. I followed up for a week for the WLL phone and till now they have not provided anything. I feel I am wasting my time and energy in following up with BSNL.
In this website i am finding that shifting has taken 6 months. Is this the service that we are paying for?

Long delay in shifting telephone!
I have a BSNL connection number 26580059, and had submitted a form for shifting of the same from J P Nagar to Bilekahalli in April 07 and till date whenever I inquire when the phone will be shifted they give some lame excuses and tell this week it will happen. I am sick of this. The service is very poor.

Telephone Out-of-Order for more than a month!
I am one of the BSNL Bangalore customers for the past 6+ years. I have applied for shifting during May 2006. I got the shifting after 5 months of continuous follow-up. That too they have provided temporary connection from one of the near by pole. It worked for few days and stopped working since 21st December 2006. When I tried to book a complaint by calling 1500, it says “the number is faulty, please contact Section Supervisor”. My DataOne is also not operational from the day one the line got shifted. I have been in touch with the line-man, but he says that he has checked at his end and the problem is with the cables.
Beware of this company!
