fabulous billing in broadband
My name is Anirban Dutta. For the last two months i have been getting excessive bills which in no way match to the consumption i usually made. Would you please furnish the details of such bill for the month of May and June, 2008?

Frustrating delay in shifting & non-functional phone
I'd applied for transferring my BSNL phone+ Broadband from Jayanagar to Marathahalli area on 3rd Nov, 2007. However, after 2 months, nothing moved. In the meantime, I also lost the acknowledgment receipt. When I went to the local office, they said they can't track the request without the receipt & forced me to lodge a new request.
I lodged a fresh request on 9th Feb, 2008. Since the original request wasn't processed, I ended up paying tariffs for the 3 months as it was the pre-requisite for processing the new request further (crap!). After 4 months of numerous follow ups in various BSNL offices, a person came and installed the landline on first week of June. When I asked about the broadband connection, he said another person will come & install the same.
Again 1.5 months passed by and the broadband is still not installed. The phone has worked only for a few days in this period & is generally dead. I've been to BSNL office enough no. of times to have lost all faith in it's system. The phone calls never gets answered & the employees have a general 'don't care' attitude. The web-site's complaint form leads to a error page and the call center reps can answer only very limited queries & direct you to the local BSNL office for every other thing.
I'm frustrated beyond imagination & have lost all trust in this company & it's services. Please treat BSNL only as your last option as it may lead you to cry forever.

Cheating customers
After introducing Night time free downloading scheme (02.00 - 08.00), they really started to cheat the customers. As they are charging the customers, even though we if we download after 02.00 AM. And the best part is they didn't even accepting the complaint by saying that the whole thing lies with the customer part, as we started downloading before 02.00 AM. they simply saying to file the case if any objections are there without showing any responsibility or not forwarding this complaint to any further... because its a government organization everyone knows that we can't file the case or we can't go further without their support. Really annoying... their service is really a poor one...

Not available broadband
I am using BSNL broadbond service for past six months. The problem I am facing is I couldn't open any website from this net work but I have the connection. It may be the setting in the Internet Explorer. But I don't know the exact problem. So, I complained many times about the problem to the customer care of the BSNL, Chennai. It is a shame that there is no response from BSNL. But they are sending the monthly bill regularly.

Dead phone
For last 7 days my BSNL Landline phone (No 033-22873549) remains partially dead from evening 7.00 PM up to morning 9.00 AM next day regularly. Inspite of repeated complain to the concerned telephone exchange no action has been taken. I am an old lady of 80 years and living alone. Telephone is my only communication with outside world.

Landline connection not working
We have bsnl telephone at home from last 20 years and the phone is not working from lass 6 months. The telephone complaints there is no response.

Getting a new broadband connection
I had applied for BSNL connection in Whitefiled exchange (Bangalore) June 3rd week. I got the phone in 1 week but waiting for broadband connection since then. Their customer service is pathetic. They will never pick up the call and if you ar lucky someone will pickup and give you another number to call. I highly recommend to save the department it shall be turned to a private one. They spend lot of money in ad campaigns. but when it comees to service no-one is there to help. It's major hindrance to growth. How long will you fight and keep trying as a customer I don't have time to visit there office 2-3 times to get a connection. Had Airtel, Reliance and Vodaphone not been there, these guys would have made life of a consumer misrable. I am thinking of get my connection disconnected now and apply for Airtel. When it's comes to any Govt. department helplessness just comes out. I would recommend someone going for BSNL connection think again please.

Non receipt of email id usermanual etc.
Even after broadband connection i have not received my email id and the user manual of the connection to enable changing password ect and useful and safe use of the facility.
