worst dining experience ever
I’m sorry to post a bad review for a restaurant that I’ve frequented and enjoyed since it’s opening, but Matt the manager is not just unprofessional, he is mean spirited and aggressive. I make the mistake of telling the waitress that the filet mignon had no favor. I offered to pay for it but that I wanted another dish to enjoy with a $130 wine. The cook came out from the kitchen and stood behind the bar with the bartender and jeered at me and my guest and which caused a couple of customers at the bar to turn around and look at us. The waitress returned and in a valley girl voice told me that the cook said that the steak was cooked perfectly. Matt then came to the table and pulled my wine glasses and dinner plate out from under my fork and returned to push the bill at me. But the worst was yet to come. Matt the manager came out to the parking lot while I was walking my Italian Greyhound in the huge restaurant parking lot (that is located at the entrance to an 8 lane freeway) and told me to get off the property. I told Matt that I didn’t think it safe for me to drive for a while as I had 2 or 3 glasses of wine with just 3 oysters and 3 slices of heirloom tomatoes and that I hadn’t eaten all day. Unbelievably, Matt responded aggressively and called the police. The police arrived like a swat team after terrorist but were polite and professional and apologized for the hassle. And shortly the police left, the bartender flipped me off in the parking lot. Others have complaint about the Buckeye, see review at Open Table just 2 days ago, “Steak overcooked and not tasty.”
