Cannot get hold of them to make the amendment
I took out building and household insurance with Budget. 30 minutes later I needed to ammend the policy. 2 hours later I still cannot get hold of them to make the amendment.

This makes me doubt my choice of insuring with them! Shocking service, absolutley shocking.

Changed existing quote after 1 month
I was quoted a certain price for my car insurance and paid it the first month in May and in June it was increased by R200. They say they notified me, but I was never notified and how can they suddenly put it up by R200 one month later. I have a budget and worked out my finances on the price they gave me in May.

Call center harassment
Since Jan 2009, I have been receiving calls on my cellphone, (sometimes 8 times per day) from Budget Insurance or Dial Direct or 1 Life Direct, saying that I have left my number on their website, requesting an insurance quote. This is utter nonsense and a harrassment and invasion of my privacy, although someone could be playing a prank, but not for 9 months!!! My number most probably forms part of a list that was purchased by these companies. I have chosen to never answer numbers that show as 'private number' on my phone now. I had spoken to the Call Centre Manager, Lonwabo Hoho on numerous occasions, who promised to remove my number and details from their system, which to date has not happened. I have left messages for their CEO, namely Anton De Souza to return my call, but to no avail. I have never and will never in my life support these companies(whom I was told to be part of the News 24 group) and find that they scout for business in most unethical and unscrupulous ways. In these technologically advanced times, removal of and monitoring of my numbers IS DEFINITELY POSSIBLE, SO WHY DON'T YOU REMOVE THEM PERMANENTLY?

After 6 weeks I still did not have my car
I was in a car accident - end of May.I was sceptical about the 3rd party panel shopworkshop my car was sent to - curtousy cars available.I then upgraded to have a rental car. AT AN INCREASED FEE. After 2 weeks I was told that I only qualified for this car for 2 weeks. The workshop haven't finished with my car yet as additional damages were reported weekly. I was extremely upset-should have been picked up during the initial assessment. My rental car option was extended. After 6 weeks I still did not have my car. I finally received it on 29 July! I received a letter informing me that budget is INCREASING THEIR FEES ACROSS THE BOARD! Approx 1 month later I had to take my car back as the one wheel was pointing outwards. clamps around the stabaliser bar also came loose. I was told that a bolt check was never done> This is unacceptable! the past week i had to take my car in. diagnosis? I lost a bolt and the same clamps are loose yet again! I have never has this problem only since the work on the car was done. I recently moved - YET ANOTHER INCREASE! I was informed that there is some additional damage that need to be repaired now. I am considering consumer expert help!

Still waiting for payment and car delivery
My third party claim was finalised on Wednesday last week. The payment was supposed to be done on Wednesday, there was some or other problem, I still haven't received payment, almost a week later. Apparently a cheque has been printed and sent to the bank to deposit. I'm assuming I'll have a nice 7 day waiting period before it clears. Great. My car has still not been towed to my panelbeater, even though 2 towing instructions have been issued, one marked 'urgent'. How does it take a week to tow a car? I'd like them to get started on fixing it, but they haven't got a car to fix! After my first complaint, things got better, people seemed to actually care about sorting things out, but since the claim has been finalised, I get nothing out of anyone I speak to again. Why does everything have to be an uphill battle, when the problems themselves are not that complex? All i want is my car towed, and the settlement transferred.

4 weeks and no progress on claim
I was involved in a car accident, not my fault, the other person is insured by Budget. I, having no insurance, (yes, stupid I know, live and learn) am making a third party claim against Budget. The only communication I have received from them was to send various documents. I have called them numerous times, the person who is supposed to be dealing with my claim (Lindiwe) is never there, or never available. Whoever I wind up speaking to, constantly tells me someone is in the client's policy, and they therefore cannot help me. They also tell me the client's claim is not finalised, and therefore there's nothing they can do about my claim. Information about their client's claim is confidential, so I'm stuck 4 weeks later, with no information whatsoever about my third party claim. How long can it take to finalise their client's claim? It was a motor-vehicle accident, in the middle of the day, with witnesses, 2 cars involved, no serious injuries. What can be so difficult that it's taking you 4 weeks? I want it sorted out, I need to know what my options here are, if you're rejecting your clients claim, I need to start civil proceedings, so please, can we pick up the pace?
