Manager backs up extremely ignorant waitress
Waitressing is tough sometimes. I have friends in that field of work. Lots of memorizing and mistakes do happen. No big deal. But the nightmare that ensued after one waitress' mistake and then lack of intelligence to own up to that mistake cost us a total buzz kill.
My boyfriend and I met up with 4 other couples already at the bar area of Buffaloes. Several drink orders were placed and my boyfriend received the wrong drink. No biggie. The night carried on and another couple joined our group. The couple to our left asked for their tab. They paid and left. Then the rest of us asked for our tabs. Our ticket ended up having an extra beer charge along with the charge for the wrong type of beer. Meaning she messed up the tabs pretty much for everyone. We aren't scene makers so it was no big deal. My boyfriend and I just wanted the one beer taken off. She refused and got management. We spoke with management and he kept asking "are you sure it wasn't yours?". I said it was the couple to our left who left early. Their signed stub was too low because he had more than one beer. The waitress swore he only drank one. It took 30 minutes for the manager to finally give in and remove the false charge. Within the 30 minutes, only one couple stayed behind with my boyfriend and I. We paid and left. As we walked to our car, two different waitresses ran after us asking where the LAST COUPLE to join our party went. Turns out our waitress forgot to make sure they paid because she was too busy fighting over a $7 dollar beer with us. My boyfriend did not know the couple directly and immediately offered to call his friend who knew the couple. He went back inside with the waitresses. I waited in the car. 45 minutes later the couple arrives to pay and my boyfriend returns to the car. Turns out the manager had refused to let him leave. He was demanding MY BOYFRIEND pay the tab of the couple. When my boyfriend refused, the manager demanded he hand over his drivers license for not paying. My boyfriend refused. The manager proceeded to threaten my boyfriend with calling the cops. The only logical explanation is the manager was banging our waitress. Why else would management treat customers like that? We were never rude, upset or trying to get anything free. We even offered to help get the couple back to the store. Looking back I wish I would have called the cops. This happened a year ago and haven't been back since. This is what the company gets for hiring ex-cons and high school dropouts. And yes that's a rude assumption based on their appearance and intelligence. For everyone out there, make sure you politely point out mistakes to a waitress or waiter. They might be related to our dumba** waitress and think they are perfect.

Poor Service
My family and I visited Buffalo Wild Wings for the first time on Saturday June 11, 2011. After viewing their commercials and receiving numerous emails, We decided to give it a try. Well as we all know - first impressions are lasting impressions. My first impression and experience was horrible. My husband, kids and myself entered the restaurant and stood at the entrance for a few minutes before walking up to a hostess/waitress (that was just standing near the register with two other waitresses) and asking her if whether or not we are to seat ourselves. The waitress reply was to sit anywhere you like (unusual), so we did. We waited, and waited, AND WAITED, AND WAITED, AND WAITED! There were several waitresses around and no one came over to our table to greet us or offer us drinks. The longer I waited the less impressed I became with BWW. About 10-15 min later a large party arrived and requested the booth adjacent to ours. The booth wasn't clean therefore the waitress had to clean it, which pissed her off. She began to clean the table, while the party stood there waiting, in an angry manner, she even threw a high chair across the floor. The party was not amused and neither was I. I noticed the party was getting a little anxious after sitting awhile. I decided to get up and ask one of the several ladies standing by the register if I could see the manager. One of the ladies pointed him out and I approached him. I told him how we had been waiting a very long time and no one had even acknowledged us. I told him I was very disappointed, with this being my first visit and all, and that we were going to leave. The manager, John, only wanted to know what table we were sitting at, so I walked him over to where we were sitting (my husband and kids had already left out) and showed him the table. There was no apology or encouragement to stay. That was my first and Last time visiting Buffalo Wild Wings.

discriminating
My son which is 18 yrs old and his girlfriend 16 yrs old. They wanted to go Buffalo Wild Wings to eat and they sat down at one of the booth. A waitress came over and ask to check their ID and told them that they can only order carry out. They can not serve them to eat in the restaurant because of their age policy. They said that because his girlfriend is 16 and she have to be accompany by an adult that is 18 and older. My son told her that he is 18. The waitress then change her answer and said "Ooooo...she have to be accompany by her parent or guardian. The policy posted by the door did not state that, It just said under 18 have to be accompany by an adult.

Harassment and Racism
I was interviewed by the Bar Manager and General Manager at the new Buffalo Wild Wings in Ames, Iowa. They originally told me that I would be getting $8.50 plus tips (tip-share) as a part-time greeter/cashier. I took the job, and management told us through orientation that they would discuss tip-share after orientation was over, so I waited. In the meantime, I was harassed by a woman working as a trainer for corporate, she favored the younger (teenage) workers and looked the other way when they refused to do their jobs (mostly sidework.)Three workers (myself included) picked up the slack, cleaning toilets, rolling silverware, mopping the floor) because these girls would lie about doing it, or just not attempt to do it at all.
I was one of about six of older employees, and by the time I left all but two quit. I had regular comments about my age (I'm in my mid-twenties) and I was bullied about being "old" and it caused me quite a bit of stress, especially since the teenage girls (the majority of the employees) refused to work with me. I can understand that there will be some drama, clique behavior and fighting especially considering the environment, but I had so many teenage servers refuse to wait on customers (they would sent them back to the greeter/seater, telling them loudly that "they probably wouldn't tip, give them to someone else!" None of these girls were reprimanded.
The last straw was when I overheard my trainer use several racial slurs referring to asian-americans. My husband is asian, and so are a large portion of my family members. I decided that it wasn't a family environment and made plans to look for another job. However, pay was good - so I kept trying to convince myself to stay, and my husband supported my decision. Later on in the week, a couple of my cousins (of Laotian background) dined at Buffalo Wild Wings and the server jokingly made some off-color jokes about asian customers, and made a poor attempt at speaking mandarin saying gibberish such as "ching a ling a chong". They were offended and told me that the restaurant was horrible, they would never dream of going back.
By the time I was made aware of the treatment of my cousins, I was ready to leave. I got my paycheck and it was less than what I expected, I confronted my trainer about it, and she said that Buffalo Wild Wings never does tip-share because the poor waitresses (teenage girls she loved so much) only make so much money an hour. I know that, and they were aware of that upon hire. I have a lot of friends in the restaurant business. However, I was promised that tip-share would be included in my pay by both the General Manager and the Bar Manager, and nothing was done about it.
Due to all these problems and the amount of stress and unprofessional behavior, I ended up quitting. My friends and family refuse to dine in anymore and instead we opt to eat at home. I tried to get the number of Human Resources or corporate in order to file a proper complaint, but it was never posted anywhere in the restaurant.

Poor Service, hair in food
There was a hair in my celery that came with my wings and the shift lead told me that the celery is complimentary and asked me what do I want to do about the hair. I was taken back at the fact that he told me a part of my meal was complementary then asked me what I wanted to be done with an attitude. I asked what is the company policy for hair found in food served to guest and he told me there is no such policy. He kept walking back and forth between our table and the Manager trying to figure out how to compensate us. I ran out of patience because he told me he would take of 15% of of $50 bill, came back and the discount totaled $47. Simple math, 10% of $50 is $5 which means he didn't even take off 5%. Then he came back and gave us separate receipts and the bill still added up to $47. Finally he came back with the bill and gave us $15 off. After waiting 10 minutes to get service for our drinks, waiting another 20 minutes for our food, then to be served the wrong order and have to wait another 10 minutes to get served a piece of hair on the side and have to jump thru hoops with a shift lead that has no idea how to deal with customers, yea I will NEVER go back to that BWW. I attached our receipts, I'm pretty pissed about the 48 hour cap on BWW's website for customer feedback! That's some BS!!!

Ridiculous prices
Let me start out by saying we love BW's. Just went last night to Buffalo Wild Wings in Oldsmar, Fl. First off our beer tasted like soap, obviously the 23 oz. glasses were not rinsed or washed properly. After we mentioned it ton the waitress they were taken off our bill (nice). We ordered 18 wings, split the flavors (nice). While waiting for our food I started calculating prices off of the menu. I was shocked and pissed at what I found. For 6 wings you are paying 88 cents a wing. For 12 wings your are paying 74 cents a wing, for 18 wings you are paying 77 cents per wing. These prices are RIDICULOUS. Can you imagine paying 88, 74, or 77 cents for a SINGLE chicken wing. While looking over the dollars rest of the menu you are hard pressed to find any entree under 8 dollars. We are eliminating Buffalo Wild Wings from our dining choices, simply because we can not justify paying this much to eat out. I will miss BW'S!

Awful food and service
Buffalo Wild Wings just opened in Mt. Vernon, I'll and my husband and I decided we would try it on my birthday. It happened to be new years eve so we figured it would be busy. We only had to wait about 20 minutes to be sat, but it took at least 5 minutes before we were greeted by our server, Hannah L. We told her we wanted the appetizer sampler to start then we would order after we got that. It took 15 minutes for us to get our watered down draft beers. During the time we were waiting for our app, our server was sitting in a booth next to us eating off of a customers plate, which was not appropriate! About 20 minutes after ordering, apparently a friend of. Our server came in and sat at a table next to us. They got their food before we got our appetizer. About 45 minutes after ordering, we got our CO
LD appetizer. At that point we had nothing to drink, were missing things off of our app and had no plates to eat off of. 10 minutes later the server came to check on us to get us the rest of our stuff. At this point I told her we needed our check. The total was about $17 nd my husband put down a twenty. Instead of her saying she will be right back with the change, she asked do you need your change back? I'm sorry but you don't ask for a tip!
There were two shift leaders or managers there but I didn't see them stopping at ANY tables checking on customers! I've told everyone I know to not ever go there! This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had or seen. And I served for 4 years so I have seen some bad ones! I will never go to the Mt. Vernon Buffalo Wild Wings again!

Employment
I applied for employment at Buffalo Wild Wings online for a new location now open in Formosa Gardens Kissimmee Fl .
I was called and asked to come in for an interview in Orlando I went to this interview hoping that I would get a job.
I went into the restaurant seeing many people there probably around 100 ! Sitting around tables & waiting to be interviewed.
A guy came up front asked me what I had applied for I had applied for Host/Hostess/Cashier position he then told me to sit at a table where I was directed to sit at another table in the back I sat with 5 others we were then approached by a Manager that said she was going to be the Host/Hostess/Cashier Manager at the new location & sat down, The first thing I noticed is she did NOT have any applications with her so I thought what's going on here maby she will tell someone to interview us one on one !!
That didn't happen !! She sat down asked us all our names the asked about our experience we all talked about ourselves and the this lady told us that we were not all going to get a job with them but come back when the store opened & she would remember us & if they were hiring we could get a job. She then told us that she would interview a person for a second interview thanks for coming have a good day !! How on earth could she even know our experience when she didn't even have the applications sitting in front of her !!! This was a complete waste of time & effort for this place !!! I wouldn't tell anyone that asked if they should apply there !!! It's B.S. !!! Don't waste your time !!!

inappropriate employees
I was out with my family and I was watching one of the waitresses named Mary talking with some customers. She didn't seem to have the best attitude anyways. So I'm glancing over to see a television, and I see her just drinking some customers beer right there. Now, I work in the restaurant business and I know that employees should never drink on the job. It just seemed inappropiate and not very professional. She also just had a bad attitude with her co-workers. It made me feel really uncomfortable.
