I purchased a 2005 buick park avenue from this firm on Feb 5, 2005 The vehicle was equipped with the on star system and I was advised of it's many advantages and built-in safety features. The information that I received was a key reason for my purchase of that vehicle. When I received the notice of termination of the service, I contacted the dealership and was told that nothing could be done about it at that time. I was told that conversion kits had been made for two other buick models, but nothing would be done for the Park Avenue model. I asked about the hardware that was built into the vehicle, such as the rear view mirror and the antenna bracket on the rear window. I was told that those items would just remain there. My position with Buick is that, if they knew of this situation ahead of time, why wasn't that information provided to the customer? They must have known about the transformation if they made the conversion kits for some models. I was left with impression that the feature of the on-star system would always be available to me with that vehicle.
