Burger King Reviews

consumption
We had purchased three XT cheddar steak house combo's, and a strawberry shake. On Monday March 15, 2010. After consumption we all became nausaes, with diareah. We are very disappointed with the quality of the food that was given to us on that day. I can honestly say that we will never return to that specifc location again. I would like t be re-embursed. Burger King forced me to lie to my child.
33-10 Astoria Blvd.

Astoria, NY 11103 To whom it may concern: On July 19 I went with my children, my nephew and my aunt to the Burger King listed above. They have a promotional Spiderman scratch off that the children love to play. My daughter scratched off the prize and won an apple pie. When she went to redeem the prize she was told that the she could not redeem the prize the same day. She would have to come back on another day. I then spoke to two other employees (Desiree and Natalie) and was told the same thing. My aunt approached them with the ticket and was give the same response. She then told them she was there yesterday and received the ticket then. She was then given the apple pie. It is a shame that in order to received something that I we had to lie. That this is the example that my daughter who is 9 had to witness. I have been to several Burger Kings, (Middle Village, NYC, LI) and have been able to redeem the prize the same day. This is the only location that has this policy. I asked to speak to the manager and was told there was not one available. I was told that the manager name was Mr. Kin. I called later that night and asked for Mr.Kin. I was told by an employee (Alex), that he was not available. I asked Alex when he was there and was told by Alex that he did not know when he would be there. I asked Alex for Mr. Kin's full name and correct spelling of his name. Alex said he did know either. The only thing he has was cell number and he could not give that to me. I find it strange that Alex would have the cell number of a person whose name he did not know. He said I should have better things to do that get a free apple pie and hung up on me. If this is typical behavior of Burger King employees, it is very safe to say that Burger King sales are suffering. I am not arguing the apple pie, it is the principal behind it. Why is this Burger King's policy

different than any other that I have visited. I am teacher is Astoria and have taken my class there on several occasions and so have my co-workers. I will no longer be doing so and will advise my colleagues of this incident so they too do not visit this location. It is apparent that this policy is a ploy to drum up more business. Well I will not be a party to this bait game. Thanks to that policy this Burger king will lose the business of my family, my

colleagues and classes. My class alone has 25 children. I just wanted to let Burger King HQ know what is going in their Astoria, NY location.

Sincerely,
Nancy

Not being open on time
I went to store 13959 in Porterville at 6:OOam drive thru and waited approx 10 minutes, then drove around to the drive thru window and the sign says they open at 5:30 am and I attempted to get the attention of the worker inside the store when I finally got there attention they just came to the window and said thru the window we are closed when I pointed to the sign that says they open at 5:30am they just shrugged there shoulders. I had to be at work and couldn't wait any longer, So when I got to work I called the store and talked to a gentleman who seemed suprised but went on to say ok I will ask what happened and then just hung u.His attitude was that of ok, you called.

I felt ripped off by the rib cost
I went to Burger King the other day, to try the "NEW RIBS". The drive up window was backed up at least 20 cars, the parking lot full, and a huge tracker trailer truck parked in front of the entrance. I parked, and went in. The newly renovated place was complicated to negotiate as they had you walking around a huge stainless steel circular railing just to get to the counter. There were only 3 servers up front, including the one from the drive up window, the line waiting to order was only slightly shorter than the one waiting to get into the line to wait in line to order. The people trying to exit after filling their drinks had to squeeze by the people backed up waiting in line, and staying at all was up for debate. I got to the ordering station, and the girl taking orders walked away from the cash register, and proceeded to "help" the person putting up orders at the hot plate; leaving everyone standing waiting to order and then wait. She finally came back I ordered four 3 pc ribs only units and waited. I waited, and waited some more as these are only cooked once the orders for them are placed. The cost was 10.61 cents including tax, but the ribs pictured in the lighted signs looked delicious, and certainly worth the money. I got them home and discovered that they were about 2 inches long at the most, and it was hard to tell if they were beef, or just pork being flavored to taste like beef. I felt that the value for dollar was poor, they did not taste that spectacular, and it was very disappointing. I called the store the next day, to tell them what I thought, and how I was disappointed, I wanted a couple of coupons for free whoppers or something because I felt the ribs deal was unacceptable. After I explained, and was told, yes the ribs are about the size of your thumb, I asked why the ones pictured looked at least 4 inches long? I wanted to know if they were sold by weight, or by the piece, and why they didn't know right away if it was beef or pork? She told me she had not tried them, that they were sold by the piece, not by weight, and that if I had a complaint that I had to go onto Burger King's web site and take it up with corporate there. I went on line, BUT my MSN media center II is not a computer, and the BK site required additional soft ware down loaded to navigate it. I don't have the ability to install extra stuff to watch speedy video, complicated sites, so I was unable to contact them. I called the store back to get a number to call BK, and was informed that they Manager did NOT have a direct number for Customer Service, she gave me an 800 number she had and the extention. I called, got a recording saying that the extention was not recognized. I called the 800 information operator to see if they had a number and was informed that Burger King does NOT have an 800 number listed in their 800 number directory. I called another store, told them what I was looking for, and was informed that THEY REALLY DO NOT HAVE ANY KIND OF NUMBER LIKE THAT... (It seems that customer service of BK likes to remain incommunicado) but if I still had my receipt I could call the number on the back of it, and leave my information there. I did not have the receipt, he found one, gave me the number and I thanked him. The number was an invitation to participate in a survey, automated, anonymous, and futile because I did not have the store number required to get into the survey. I dug through my trash, found the ticket, called, told them what I thought about the wait, the store set up, the value for dollar and the disappointing ribs all by giving each item a rating of 1 for poor up to 5 for excellent. At the end of the survey I was given a validation code, for a free chicken sandwich when I made a purchase of any size drink and french fries. Then I was informed that the receipt had to be presented at the time of purchase, there was only one ticket per household allowed, and there was only one free sandwich, or current deal allowed per month. I still was not able to have any satisfaction about the inconsistency in the ribs sales, and I am still upset about the inability to contact corporate Burger King to let my dismay be known. I realize that they are not unavailable, that it is my state of on line challenge that makes it impossible to access them, BUT I am sure I am not the only web tv user who has decided that they are not happy with the Burger King site requirements.

I would like it to be known that Burger King should be just as fast with their service as the one next door to it which will remain McAnonymous, that the layout of the new lobby is uncomfortable and it is stupid that they only had one employee on the register at the peak of lunch rush. I also would like to know how to contact Burger King so I can let them know I would like coupons for 2 free whoppers since I felt ripped off by the rib cost.

This had to be the worst experience we've ever had at any restaurant
I visited the drive thru at store #1160 this evening, 7-1-09 and had a horrible experience. First the manager was the one who was at the window and was incredibly rude. The manager threw my food at me, rudely insisted I pay and get out of the way, didnt give me half my order and when I said so the rest was thrown at me. And to top it off my kids didnt get the kids meal toys they were promised..which actually happens more often than not at this location. This was not the first bad experience my family and I have had there but this one just put us over the edge. This had to be the worst experience we've ever had at any restaurant and having a hospitality management degree myself I can tell you right now the manager at this store should not have a job!

New Funnel Cake Sticks
I tried the new Funnel Cake stix this morning at my local Burger King. They were terrible to say the least. I was excited, because funnel cakes are the best. Not only are they covered in powdered sugar, but it comes with a small tub of icing as well. The stix alone are pretty bad, but dipping in a sugary bath of icing wasn't better.

Thanks for ruining one of my favorite carnival snacks ever. Stick with the french fries and chicken finger bang sticks.

Ive always been a Burger King fan and love their burger till yesterday, I ordered a Whopper Jr. went home to enjoy my delicious Whopper Jr. and took a bite and notice nothing but bread and lettuce and mayo... i was schocked! I looked under to buns to find out a patty 30% smaller than the bun? I was like whats going on! is the kings cutting back... i felt like i was being taxed by the King himself. Did I do something wrong??

Poor Management
I went to Burger King with my daughter this evening and ordered a meal for both of us inside. I gave the attendant a Burger King gift card with $3.97 on it and order a meal worth $10.61. When she saw I was short on the card the asked for the remainder and I gave her a $20.00. She gave me $9.39 back as change and I complained that it was not the right change. She called he manager to straighten it out because she couldn't figure out what had gone wrong. I did not know that the person who came up to work it was the manager. This person got really upset when I started asking for the manager or at least someone who could count. She tried to give me my $20 back and chase me out of the store at which time I started to call the police to settle this or get my money back. She got really flustered and screamed at me what do you want. All I wanted was the $3.97 that you took off my card back, she refused to let me order food or pay for my order and eat in peace so my daughter and I left. I usually come in every morning on the way to work and have never had a problem but I will never come back here again and I will encourage the 135 employees that work for me not to either.
