Bought a play pen and as I was leaving the store loss prevention stops me. Ok check my reciept. Then I'm told I can't take the cart from the store. Well the lady that was right in front of me was allowed to. He tells me thats because she did not speak English and did not understand. Well no hablo and no Nintendo.

POOR MANAGER SERVICE
Hello, my name is Jay Wilkerson my email is: [email protected]

Dear Sir or Mam,

Several customers were in line @ your Dublin, California store waiting for service their was only one register open at 3:p.m. so the line exceeded at least six customers. I Jay Wilkerson was the first one in line waiting patiently, and so was the other loyal returning Burlington Coat factory customers like myself. Leetha the manager at the Dublin location let a lady walk ahead of the customers in line who waiting very patiently in line. When I questioned the manager Leetha about it Leetha replied I am the manager and this lady was their first. Yet everyone in line knew this was not true, when several people asked to speak to the manager Leetha said she was the manager, and that she had the final say. When the other customer behind me asked leetha for her full name, and who was above her Leetha replied their was no one above her to complain to. Please do something about this matter, their was no need for Leetha the manager to snowball this the way she did, if she was overwhelmed she could of took a break instead of yelling, and refusing good customer service to loyal customer. Thank you for your time

Stay away
3 month story short: Spent approx 3.5K at this store and they did not hesistate to take our money. Received all our merchandise after hunting around town for all the pieces EXCEPT ONE which was ordered in November 2010 and we still don't have it. We still cannot get anyone to resolve the issue, I have made phone calls to the district manager and their corporate office. The Live Oak Mgr's response: I can't prove any of the conversations and interactions you've had with the Baby Depot Manager ever happened, it's out of my hands, there's is no need to be upset or argue over this, and I have no excuse as to why I haven't followed up with you! Do yourself a huge favor and don't ever buy from Baby Depot much less register at the store or DON'T EVER place a special order...you'll never see it!!!

Bad customer service
Customer service at this store is extremely bad. If you want a display item be prepared to stand around for an hour or two while they look for it only to conclude that they did not have it in the first place. Placing items on order will require(in my experience) at least 6 weeks. There seems to be a management problem with this store in the field of basic organization. Learn to use an inventory system that tells you what is available. Arange the storage area so that employees can quickly locate desired items and please take out display items that you no longer carry.

Return Policy
Omg!!! Burlington is the worst!!! Never shop their again in your life. I tried to return my 17 month old daughter's chiffon and velvet dress. The lace came loose from the chiffon material and the baby pulled the rest of the string and it totally unravelled. I tried to return it without my receipt with an even exchanged and they denied me, implying that I tore the dress and it was not defective!! I finally had to call the regional office to have them look up my information because I used my bank card. They finally did do it and when I went back to return it the second time, the employees were still running their mouths about taking it back!!! That store could not pay me to steal from it so they better wise up. So many stores, so little jobs in this economy, Burlington will soon find themselves out of business for sure. I will NEVER EVER NEVER shop there again in my life.I hope anyone reading this won't either.

Worst Customer Service
I went to this store to return a coat. One of the employee named Milly was at the register. She said that the coat cannot be returned but the way she said it was way rude. She behaved like she never returned a thing in her whole life and when we tried to complain about her to the manager everyone teamed up and just never considered what we said. I will never step foot in any one of these stores ever. Worst Worst Worst customer service ever.

Employees
I had a horrible experience at this store yesterday. This is the store by the metro center mall store number 181 i think. I went in with a friend and got no help from anyone working there. I lost my car key. I went up to the front desks and asked several different employees about the key. All they said was they didnt have it and turned away from me. One lady even just looked at me and said "havnt found it" then turned and started talking to someone. Everyone was SO RUDE. Two other employees who were working and standing and talking by the fitting rooms, one of whom was pregnant. Didnt help at all either. One of them had a horrible attitude and snubbed me and talked to me like a was stupid the whole time. The other pregnant one said "lady its not my fault you lost your key." The only people who actually helped me were the customers shopping! When someone found my key, one of the women by the fitting rooms basically threw the key at my friend and walked away. This was my first experience at that store, and my LAST. Me nor my friends and family will be returning after my horrible customer service experience. All i wanted was help finding my car key. No one working there cared or even tried to help. They basically ignored me the entire time and like i said, talked to me like i was an idiot or just walked away. Horrible.

defective boots
I recently bought a pair of Via Spiga boots that I have been admiring in that shop for about a year. After purchasing them and wearing them twice, the entire bottom of the boot wore off. I thought a leaf was stuck to the sole, and when I went to scrape it off, noticed that the entire plastic, or vinyl covering on the sole had worn away, as well as the sole under the toes, eaten away. I had not been walking on gravel roads, so I was shocked at the cheapness of the boots. I do not live in the United States and don't know when I will be back, but would welcome any feedback on the manufacturing of these ankle boots. These boots were 100.00USD plus tax, Please let me know where to go from here. Thank you, Linda Campbell

discrimination
I attempted to return a suit that was purchase for my fiancee from out of state all the tags were in place and the suit had never been worn. I enter the Pinole California store which recently opened in August 2010, to exchange the suit for a larger size, and was denied based on the price acording to the store manager the store employee Angelica whom was RUDE and condecending gave me all sorts of excuses why the suit could not be exchanged, obviously she was not thoroughly trained on burlingtons return policy, and i felt strongly discriminated againsts from her belittling attitude. She claimed she was the customer service mananger, however she conducted herself very nonprofesionally, and needs to be thoroughly trained to treat all customers the same, and not be so opinionated. when i asked for her supervisor, I then spoke with Brian who asked numorous 'irrelevant' questions regarding this one item when i was unable to provide this information because it was a gift he adamently DENIED my excahnge, which i became very disturb after waiting 30 minutes in line then another 15 minutes waiting on the manager to come to only send me through a number of problems Im very dissatisfied with the service pertaining to the new BURLINAGTON COAT FACTORY in pinole california. The return policy simply states you are allowed store credit if dissatisfied with the item its unfortunate, some store employees do not follow all guidlines. please correct this matter

Sincerly,

Andrea. A very dissatisfied customer.

Dear Mr. Tom Kingsbury President
Burlington coat Factory
1830 Rte. 130 North
Burlington New Jersey 08016

Im Truly annoyed with my experience at the burlington in Pinole California after my mom spoke with Brian the assistant manger on the phone he suggested I come back to the store to resolve the matter, I then returned several days later i have a very busy schedule I'm a Mother, working part time, and a full time student, so i was unable to return that day, when i returned several days later i then spoke with the store Manager ZARA who asked numurous questions, ie...which store was it purchased, what time, the date (etc) She then asked for my Drivers License and my school ID although i felt very uncomfortable, and ridiculed, I complied with her demands. without an explanation she proceeded to the back of the store i became even more irritated. I then requested she return my ID's and deal with the matter later she refused. I followed her, she asked what store was this item purchased at i wasnt really sure but i assumed the San francisco store, originally i was told it was brought out of state but however it was a gift so i was uncertain to were it was purchased she then called the San Francisco store and asked if this suit had been returned which was impossible because the item was still in my possesion she continued with her theatrics, compromising my integrity and finally ZARA denied my return with no substantial reason after reviewing my information then questioning me about how many returns I've done in the past which I dont recall ever doing any return's however I've made numorous purchases. I've never felt so degraded and humiliated in my life especially from a store I frequently patronize.

Please look into this matter futher
Thank you for your immediate attention to this very important issue.

Sincerly,

Andrea F. A very displeased customer.

Bad restrooms and drinking fountains
The restrooms stink really bad and are a mess. The drinking fountain outside the restroom was stopped up in the drain and water was spilling out of it on the floor. This store is a former Montgomery Ward, when it was Wards the restrooms were nicer and the fountains were not a problem. The restroom area was remodeled after it became Burlington and the area is much messier and dirty instead of cleaner.
