Bus ticket
I've just come back from Rome unfortunately with bad memories. Everything started quite fine. Beautiful city, historical places worth seeing. Apart from the servizio prices or VAT added to the bills without informing in the menus everything seemed to be fine. But on the last day of our journey while coming back to the hotel from the Vatican museum on the bus 3 people (I think ticket inspectors) got in and wanted to check our tickets. My husband and I had bought Romapass which allows you to use the public transportation and two of the museums free. At Eur Fermi bus stop after getting of the subway we got on the bus but the driver was waiting for the right time I think so the doors were open for 15 minutes. Therefore my husband and I got off to smoke but we had already put our tickets in of course. (Than it kicks it back after reading) As we were going back home that day I threw my ticket into the dustbin. Then we got in when the driver came and these inspectors got in later at another bus stop. When I told them that I didn't know that I had to keep my ticket until the end of the trip because it didnt write anywhere they didnt want to understand and asked for 50 euros fine. I kept showing my husbands romapass and my museum card and said that "my husband and I have roma pass so we dont pay extra for the bus but just put the card in the machine so why should ı try to get in free. I'm a tourist and I'm leaving today and I threw my card away because we dont have to keep it until your destination in my country" but they didnt belive me. and quite rudely and shouting they took 50 euros. If I weren't leaving that day I'd have called the police but ı didn't have time.
