The product was sent to the wrong address
I ordered a product from Buy.com. It was subcontracted to another web company, sfplanet.com. The product was sent to the wrong address. When I discovered what happened and notified both companies, nothing has been done about it.

Horrible Customer Service
Horrible customer service. Tracked my item and found that they sent it to the wrong address. Called and told them they sent it to the wrong address and they said that it was my problem. They said they couldn't change the address. After consulting with UPS, they informed me that buy.com COULD in fact change the address if they just contacted UPS as the shipper. Gerry (which is apparently Indian shorthand for Gajananvihari) informed me that there was nothing they really felt like doing about it. Gerry was also incredibly rude and made very unprofessional comments. They informed me their whole claim process which sounds like it takes a long time and they essentially run you through the ringer before telling you you are out your money. I've bought many things off buy.com, but this will likely be the last.

Customer: Called returns dept. she stated we no longer carry that product, call Plantronics!!!
No offer to substitute a similar product/refund, etc.
I resigned my acct: e-mail etc. and will no longer do any business with this company again! I also pledge to inform every person I meet or know about their crappy business ethics!!

It has been over a year, but I still don't like it
It has been over a year, but I still don't like it.. There was a great price on their site for movies. I ordered a couple of them, received a confirmation that the order went through, and waited. And waited. And waited. Upon contacting them, they rudely told me that the price was a mistake, and that they had canceled my order. The price wasn't so far out of whack that they couldn't honor the price quoted and complete the transaction. If not, they should have at least contacted me about it. I consider it somewhat dishonest and their phone staff were rude about it.

bait and switch
Buy.com cannot be trusted to sell you what you order from them. I ordered a laptop, and after receiving a receipt, shipping confirmation, and tracking info for a much cheaper item they shipped incorrectly, they said they would not send the correct one because...get ready for it...they made a pricing mistake. They charged me $600, and still have my money, but now say that I was supposed to pay $1200 for the item. Isn't that bait and switch? If you have problems with buy.com, they will let you talk with a supervisor, and offer to fix it and call you back. Which they don't do. Buyer beware, they will toss your business away just as easily as they did mine. I really like their prices, too, but obviously we can't trust them to be correct, so what good is a good deal that doesn't really exist? By the way, guess who owns the domain IHATEBUY.com? Buy.com, of course - because there are so many disgruntled customers out there looking to voice their dissatisfaction. I purchased complainaboutbuy.com and hope you'll let me know about your complaint there...

false advertisement
I ordered 12 cases of AdvantEdge Carb Control Ready to Drink Chocolate Fudge 24 CANS for $7.99 EACH, on March 5th, 2011. I seen the order on Slickdeals.com. Others noted that there might be a concern about the printing of either a discontinued product, or wrong price. I sent an email to Drugstore.com, since that is where it was being shipped from, the next day asking them to verify my order, that it was indeed 12 - 24 CANS, not the 4X4's. I heard nothing. I started notifying BUY.COM when they were shipped, the next day, when I seen that the entire order was only 39 pounds, and I know that one case weighs 19 pounds. I was told it was drugstore.com's problem since it was coming from them. I called them, and was told it was BUY.COM's problem since they advertised it, and I purchased it from them. Either way, no one would take ownership of the problem. One of Buy.com's customer service reps informed me it would be investigated by their company, and I would get a call back by a supervisor in 24 hrs. That did not happen. I called again. Again, NO ONE would help.

Then, I get an email stating that a total refund was given. I did NOT want a refund, I did NOT ask for a refund..I wanted the product that THEY advertised, I ordered AND paid for. I again spoke to customer service at BUY.COM, and no one would help me, I was told that some one again would get back to me in 24 hours. (again) NO ONE did! Again, I contacted buy.com's customer service, and this person disconnected the chat after telling me that nothing would be done, I was refunded and I could keep what was being sent to me, even after I told this person that was NOT acceptable. So hateful and rude.
I got right back online, and got ahold of what I thought was a person that was going to to honor what she said. Yvonne. (all of these are printed)

I was furious because I found online where they were STILL offering the same drink mix, just a different flavor, same amount, for the same price!!! (I have copies of this) She understood how upset I was. She stated she would investigate this and after I received the order, she would look into getting the rest of the order sent to me. I told her I felt this was false advertising and I was being completely ripped off.

My order came the very next day and I called, as I agreed to, and I got another person and explained our deal. NOT HONORED!!! He told me that buy.com was NOT going to do anything about this. I went to face book about this, hoping to get to someone with more power, thinking if the top people found out how buy.com's customers were being treated, they would not appreciate it at all. (word of mouth being the best advertisement) Well, it seems they don't even care. All they do is place the blame onto Drugstore.com. Then, they delete my complaints off their website, so there is no buyer beware!!! Some company this turned out to be. (even Drugstore.com kept my complaints on theirs)

I asked for the CEO's address, to notify him, but I changed my mind after what they did on face book, and spoke to an attorney's office, and got the information to the IL Attorney General. I now have received the paperwork to complete for a complaint to them for False Advertisement.

I will send in the form, the copies of the ad they printed that I orderd from for the drink mix with the price of 7.99 for each 24 cans, NOT 4X4's. The emails Buy.com sent telling me that they made the mispricing mistake. The email buy.com sent me telling me that they refunded me the money and that I can keep the product they sent. Email from buy.com with the $20.00 gift certificate and stating again that they made a mistake in pricing. Copy off their website, dated, showing the other flavor of the same EAS drink mix that they were STILL advertising AFTER they refunded me my money back stating it was a pricing error and that I couldn't have what I ordered, and paid for, at that price, and all the printed out copies of the chats that I had with their customer service dept, and the names and phone number and the staff from buy.com that called me...etc.

It is so sad that this couldn't have been resolved quickly, by just honoring their agreement with me, which was just sending me the rest of my order. I have to also say, I have ordered from buy.com before, and have never had any problems w/ shipping, or products and have recommended you to others, so having this issue be the deciding factor is a sad one to leave on.
Thank you for listening to me, and I hope that the Attorney General can Resolve this since obviously we couldn't.

I will never buy anything from this site again, nor would I suggest any of my friends do so
My husband used to use this site many years ago. He liked it then and got good buys. When I needed a new laptop, he decided to buy it from buy.com. He bought a very well rated Toshiba, which cost $1300. It was not clear when he bought it that he was not buying it from buy.com, but a third party. When the lap top had not arrived a week after it was supposed to, he called buy.com, who then explained that he bought it from a third party, and they could not help at all. He contacted the third party, explained he was unhappy with this bait and switch and wanted to cancel his order. They refused as they claimed the computer had already been delivered. Another week went by while he tried to fix the problem, but then out of the blue, the computer showed up.

We decided to keep the computer since everything seemed ok. We used the computer for a total of 6 hours and now it won't work at all. It takes 20 minutes to boot, and the mouse won't work. We called Toshiba, the manufacturer of the device, because it's brand new, and they told us it's not a US computer, therefore they can't support it nor give us any tech support. Buy.com and the third party seller won't return our calls. There was nothing!$&%# anywhere that said this brand new computer was from outside of the US so wouldn't be supported by tech support. I definitely feel robbed.

I will never buy anything from this site again, nor would I suggest any of my friends do so.

Thanksgiving Scame
I waited for hours the day after Thanksgiving for a Buy.com blackfriday special, Panasonic TC-P42U2. The sale price was $299 including shipping. I submitted my order. After about one day, my order was cancelled. Buy.com refused to provide a substitute at a similar price. This appears to be deceptive. I have been a royal Buy.com customer for years and been an online shopper even longer. I have never experienced anything like this.

They don't care about you
I purchased a Garmin GPS for running and paid 143.99. A few days later I got an email from Buy.com that showed the exact one I bought for 127.99. I contacted Buy.com and asked them to credit me the difference. I figured just like any other retailer, if you buy something and then it goes on sale within a reasonable amount of time, they will give you the sale price. To put this in context, I have bought $1000(s) of dollars worth of products from Buy.com. Annie (the supervisor I spoke with) told me that it was policy to not credit the money and even when I asked her if she was willing to lose a long time customer over $16 she said (in not so few words) YES. I then emailed my disappointment to Buy.com and figured that they would at least look into this. They just closed my account.
