Fraud and cheating
On of my clients I do computer Tech support for their business got a Xbox 360 From Buy.com that was a rectified it last 24 hours and they were told to returned for repair and was lost for a month by Buy.com repair center.

They got it back still not working I was asked to looked into this problem and make calls for them I called Buy.com to report the Xbox problem was it was defective and had the 'Red Ring of Death' that a major Xbox units suffer from. I was told to cam Microsoft as Buy.come would not take the Xbox back or re-sent it for repair.

We did Microsoft and sent it in and it was returned un-fixed as they said it was tamper with and was not repairable by them but would not give more info as to how it was tamper with I called Microsoft to demand they repair it they said they would looked deeper into why their repair center said the Xbox tamper with and if a repairs could still be done. Nothing from them

I called the Buy.com support line for the second time and was told there was nothing that could be done so my clients now have a $260 paper weight. I tried one more time and found and called the corporate main office and talked to the Gate keeper on my clients problems with their order I was connected to a woman name Jamie she said the were sorry and that my client was to get a full refund and a shipping label was being sent out and we would send the Xbox back...

This was week and a half ago and there has been not label no sign of a refund of my client's money and no contact from buy.com. They now have a Xbox that is not working no one wants to take back and is nothing more than a $260 paper weight. Buy.com has failed to do the rigth thing and should not be seen as some place to buy from if they can not do the right thing when an item comes up DOA and there has been not uses of that item from day one.

they would not give any on a 14 day return when the item it self had gone to repairs and was gone for a whole month and a bit more and still cameback dead.. As far as I see it Buy.com will no longer get my or anyone one I knows money.

FRAUD
BUY.COM-while placing an order on the website they offered a $20 savings for purchases over $100 using Bill Me Later as a form of payment. As soon as I submitted the order for 2 video games, there was an immediate $1561.41 unauthorized purchase to my account for a gas grill I did not order. I contacted BUY.COM immediately who was no help in fixing the problem. They insisted there was no order with my shipping address or email address. I explained that I was charged for a $1561. item by BILLMELATER.COM. They insited there was no order to cancel and yet BILL ME LATER states I an responsible for this charge. BEWARE OF BUY.COM and BILL ME LATER.

Poor customer service
Oct 27, 2008 I purchased 2 USB Flash Drives that listed FREE SHIPPING. I was notified On the 28th BOTH Items shipped. The cheaper USB Flash Drive was received in just a few days. After 10 days I still have not received the SanDisk Flash Drive. I live in the exact center of the USA, and can mail a item USPS to anywhere USA and it will get there in 2-3 days! I could have mailed the USB stick in a padded envelope and paid the postage for less than 1 dollar! I have tried to contact Buy.Con only to get the standard generated E-mails back.

NOTICE: Buy.com does NOT have a phone # to call! They also have NO ADDRESS!

Recommendation: NEVER Pay with PayPal as it is impossible to get a quick response form them either! If you pay with credit card, at least you can stop the payment!

Never received product
First time customer and last time I will use them. Ordered a NetGear Wireless Internet Adapter. Said there was free shipping, but I was still charged. I sent it to a PO Box. When it hadn't come, I emailed them becuase they have no phone number. It was then they told me they don't ship to PO Boxes and Fed Ex said they "left it at the door". What door??? Where???, I asked them. They did not tell me what address Fed Ex dropped it off at. They just said it was MY FAULT for not being there to sign for it.
I have sent Buy.com 4 EMAILS. I then called Fed Ex myself and learned of the address the dropped it off at, but I never heard of this address nor do I know where it is. I let Buy.com know but they still refuse to refund me even though I NEVER RECEIVED MY ORDER AND STILL GOT CHARGED. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!

Product shipped w/o game chip
Do not expect buy.com to correct problems. They only want to prevent returns. I recommend that you spend your money with someone else. Ordered a game for a Gameboy. Exterior of box arrived undamaged. Inside, there was a box for the game (that was not shrinkwrapped) and the game chip was missing. First they told me the that since the products weight was okay, no mistake was made. They they told me that, per company policy, one the shipper received the product, the customer was responsible. Thus there was nothing they could do. My fight has just begun, but if you do not shop at buy.com, you can avoid these problems.

Bad service
I purchased a video card on 9/8/2008 for $34.99 after a $20.00 manufactures rebate and free shipping. Two days later they reduced the price to $29.99 after a $20.00 manufacturers rebate and free shipping (exactly the same thing only $5.00 cheaper). I submitted my request on 9/11/2008 and received a response saying that my request has to be made within 3 days and can't be shipped with free shipping or have any rebates or coupons associated with it. As well the price match is only against a small handful of other e-tailers (about 7) they don't even match price against themselves. So how can they advertise a price match guarantee that is so different from industry standards for a price match guarantee? I don't know but I'm not shopping there any more as long as they advertise the price match guarantee without spelling out the conditions. I find it very deceptive. I called to complain and they didn't care even when I told them I wouldn't shop there anymore. What does that say?

Misleading sales and delivery information
I purchased software, Acrobat 9 Pro, for a Mac on Aug 2. I was immediately charged via PayPal and received an order confirmation stating the software was in-stock and would ship in 1-2 days. Order problems were supposed to be communicated immediately. A week later, Aug. 9, I received an e-mail stating the product was not available and would not be restocked. Foolishly, I got back on the site and ordered the same software with a different user's license and expedited delivery. Exactly the same story except I had to call-not easy-the company to get a status. Not available, won't be restocked. All my questions were answered with "I don't know." and "I'm sorry.". The software is the mfg's newest version and is readily available. I do not believe buy.com ever stocked the software in any platform or license.

Return policies
I purchased a keyspan ps-4a Print server from Buy.com and the device doesn't work. Started e-mail corresponding with Buy.com 7 days after it arrived. Asking for a return authorization. Rec'd one e-mail asking about original packaging. After the 14 days elapsed no returns in red! I found buying from this seller to be an extremely egregious affair bordering on being criminal! This seller is unscrupulous & unconscionable. Be extremely apprehensive about purchases from these people!
