On 6/12/08 I ordered Direct TV from Direct Digital TV for 4 rooms in my house and also ordered high speed internet. I was told I had to pay $39.99 up front to have the equipment delivered to my house plus $67 for a 3 year service protection. The high speed internet was to cost me $55 per month. Low and behold, my Visa Security called me right after my order inquiring about charges made to my credit card one after the other. One was for $289 as an on-line purchase by BuyTelco which I had never heard of. I called DD TV back to find out what was going on and was told there was a glitch in their system and the wrong provider was notified. They would make the correction and credit my account for the $289. Three large boxes arrived at my house and I'm now having trouble returning the boxes to BuyTelco. So far I haven't been able to even get their telephone number. I'm in the process of filling out Credit Card Fraud Complaint papers to have my account credited for the $289. I've canceled the Direct TV also and they are supposed to process a credit for the $106 I paid them. In the meantime I've had to cancel my credit card and have another one issued. I've spent hours and days on the telephone trying to get this cleared up, so far with no good results. I'm still trying as of 6/20/08. DO NOT ORDER DIRECT TV FROM DIRECT DIGITAL TV OR HIGH SPEED INTERNET-they lie about the charges. DO NOT GIVE ANYONE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER OVER THE INTERNET OR THE TELEPHONE.
