I took my media player in for repairs to Cafe Viva in Bellville and Eric failed to advise me that the product was discontinued and would take awhile to find new parts. My media player was at Cafe Viva for 5 weeks and I kept calling Eric daily from week 3 and he would respond in the same way.. 'I will check with the supplier and call you back'. He never returned any calls and day after day i kept calling.
Eventually after week5, the device was ready for collection and while standing in the store i told the manager how i felt about the service I received. He replied to say that he told Eric it would take awhile and yet Eric failed to pass the message on to me. Had this information been given to me, i would have bought a new device to avoid this type of waiting period and to avoid any problems later on. While speaking to the manager he did not even apologise for the poor service and lack of communication from their side. Clearly he only cares about the money and not retaining his customers.
