treated unfairly
I would like to talk to someone regarding the way I am being treated by AAA my insurance co. I was in a collision not my fault by an uninsured motorist. my car was told to me to be totalled an that there was an$8166.50 pro quote by the salvager. The gas was emptied, the lic. plates were removed. I have searched the nation and my 2007 saturn outlook with almost 32, 000 miles is worth about $18, 000 and the estimate is for over $14, 500. I dont feel safe in that car and I was also made to sign a lower estimate, and was told I had to have the first and only shop I took it to had to do the work or I would have to pay over $900 in storage fees plus towing fees to another shop. When I asked the body shop owner why he couldnt take 1 second to write the 14, 500 on the estimate sheet for me to sign he just wouldnt do it. AAA changed adjusters three times and I believe tricked me. I really feel I am being treated wrong possibly because if they deem the car totaled and since I was hit by an uninsured motorist that I may have more of a pain and suffering claim under my own uninsured motorist coverage if the car is deemed a total loss? Please help with anything you can. I do not want to drive a vehicle that I do not feel safe in. I was traveling at 35mph and was hit by a truck turning left, hitting my front side, sending me over the sidewalk into a tree and eventually slamming the front right into a building causing substancial damage to it as well and neither the front ot the side airbags deployed leaving me very bruised and still in a great deal of pain one month later. I have a baby due in september and I will not put him in this vehicle! Thank God my pregnant wife was not in the car with me. My home phone # is 510 568-2224 and my cell # is 510 697-1563
