We bought a Calypso washing machine in 2001 and have had lots of problems. We bought the extended warrenty every year, only to find out that at some point Sears changed our full coverage warrenty for a lesser one, which meant that we could have gotten a new washer based on the repairs it required but no one told us that. Now with the lower level warrenty we can't. In June, Andrea W at Customer Solutions was willing to give us 20% off a new machine and I have the email to prove it. In the email there is not a time period stated. Now that the machine has died again, and I want to use the discount, she tells me it expired within 90 days of the date of the email. When I asked her to renew it for me, she said no. I reminded her that We have bought our washer, dryer, fridge, oven, and microwave from Sears in the last 9 years. She did not care. I told her I was surprised she would want us to buy from somewhere else - and she made it clear that it was our choice but will not give us the 20% off again. She did offer to pay for the service call - but why should I do any more business with Sears? This machine has a problem every yr to 18 months.
