I hardly ever complain but today is a new day. I have been living at Cambridge for 7 years next month. I moved in with 1 child and now I have 3. After my second child I applied for the 3 three bedroom apt. I have been waiting for 5 years for the call that can move in. never got that. I went up thee recently to discuss this matter and all they can say was WE DONT MOVE TENANTS THAT ALREADY LIVE ON THE PROPERTY TO NEW UNITS UNLESS THEIR RENT IS ON TIME FOR A YEAR... REALLY. Never heard of such a thing. HUD was created to help low income people. If we live here it s cause we new a new start a fresh beginning. Their should be no such thing. While in the office I metioned that there were people I knew presonally who aint responsible as i am who got moved upon request with no problems. Ok so my friends are white, is that why. I told them they were racist. I saw the differnce on how they talked to me then saw how they talk to others. The area I live in up Cambridge use to be quiet and fun. Now noone goes outside, the police come up often, and more problems that is too much to write. The change only came when they moved in the office. I sit back and admire life all the time and the things that go on that i wish I had the power to change. So I am speaking for those who cant. What ever I got to do I will until all are treated equally.. Today they threatened to evict me. I got a notice I am talking to who ever to get them out of here. They want me to sign papers to renew my lease and I had told them times before including last month that I was leaving to move into a bigger place. They still been harrassing me to come sign papers. If you are with low income and want to find out what HUD is about. DONT... there guide lines are strict. And to think, theyre bothering me and want to evict me know but there are people up here who got ppl living in their home with other ppl that are not on the lease.. Theres ppl sitting outside all the time selling drugs breaking into homes and destroying the property, but its ok for them. HA
