I am having a big problem with my past apartment complex. When I moved in the Manager threatened to have my 83 year-old father's car towed away since she did not see his year sticker on the license plate. He had placed them in his car and had forgotten to put them on.
I lived at 4233 Summit Knoll Dr. Apt. G, Saint Louis, Missouri 63129 for a little over a year. What I mean by a little, is 15 days longer. They did not offer to extend my lease. I was waiting for my 401K cash out to come by mail and to be able to move into my townhouse which would cost me $750.00, plus garbage and water per month, more than three times the room of their apartment. My rent per month for the apartment had been $540.00 plus water, sewer and garbage and was going up to $610.00 plus the same utilities. You need to understand, I could hardly move around in their one-bedroom, small living room, small kitchen and small entry way with a dining area. It was so crowded I could not even get it cleaned up properly. The townhouse has three levels each 700 square feet and a one-car garage. It is much more spacious, large enough for my furniture and boxes. They are trying to charge me $907.93. I have written them twice telling them to be more reasonable. There was an electrical short in my apartment prior to my lease running out. It shorted out the apartment three times, no lights, etc. Twice it shorted from one outlet going out the other outlet across the kitchen area, and the last time it came through my microwave. Between the three shortages they ruined my cordless phone system, fax/copy machine, answering machine and my microwave. They have turned them into their insurance company, but as of this date I have not received any payment of the more than $650.00 they still owe me. I am disabled and am facing an almost certain second lower lumbar back surgery involving my L4/L5 and L5/S1 with a six-rod and screws branigan cage and metal bone stimulator with a battery in it. In four years time I now have two more disks bulging in my lower lumber back, my L2/L3 and L3/L4 that will need to be addressed also. I have a 2+ positive nickel allergy from fifteen years ago which I told my surgeon, Dr. Faisal Albanna, Saint Louis, Missouri and feel the battery in the bone stimulator is corroding. OWCP quit paying me 7/7/06, I have been out of money since the middle of November and I am having a Social Security Disability Hearing on the 4th of January, 2007. My OWCP Hearing will probably be in February or March of 2007. Please take care of this.
My Best Regards and Thank you,
Sheila R. Hoops
