Couple days after After ordering I got an email from cameraadict.con asking me to call a number before my order could be shipped. I called and talked to a sales person who tried to sell me other accessories. One thing he told me was that the battery included with the camera will only last half hour and he advice me to purchase an extra extended battery with 3 hours of continuous usage. I agreed to that. Then he advised me to purchase a special battery charger ($150) because the charger included with the camera will take 10 hours to charge the extra battery. I agree to purchase that too. When I received my camera, I noticed there was not an extra charger included and the only charger I got was inside the camera box and was listed in the manual as an included accessory.

I called Fujifilm (manufacturer of my camera) and ask them if the charger I have was an accessory included in the original box. They told me ‘yes’ it was included. I explained to them I was told the original charger will tale 10 hours charging and I was advised to buy an additional charger that will charge in 3 hours. Fujifilm representatives told me the charger I received is an ‘included’ with the purchase of the camera and there is not shuck a ‘faster’ charger.

With this information I called cameraaddict.com (1800-414-3067) and a Customer Service Rep. first try to convinced me that I was not lied to and when I told him I spoke with Fujifilm, he change the story and then told me that what thy sell is the ‘camera body’ only. No accessories, nothing. I told him there was no place in their web site that explains you are purchasing a ‘body only’ camera. That I would not buy something like that and their site was deceiving customers and they should have a clear place where they explain that you are buying only the body. I also told him that the extra charger the sales person advice me to but was not even listed in the camera accessories list. Then he gave me the pitch about ‘customer satisfaction’ and offer me a 2 year service contract for free. I told him I want my $150 back as a credit for a charger that did not existed. Then he offer me $75. Then $100.

After 20 minutes discussion and other irrelevant offers I told him I would talk to ABC and I’ll fight until the end because I was ripped off by them. He finally agreed to do me a ‘favor’ and credit my card for $150. I hope I’ll receive the credit next week, but I feel obligated to alert consumers about this web site and their deceiving ways to take your money and lie in your face. If they only sell the ‘body’ they should stayed in their site. This is a rip-off to honest people who go there thinking they will save some money.
