Searched for a GPS unit. Found the best price at Camera Giants. The site said they had unit in stock. I ordered and selected 3-4 day del. Got a call the next day from high pressure sales guy trying to up sale me with add on items I did not want. I told him at least 5 times I wanted NOTHING BUT WHAT I ORDERED. When he realized he was not going to sell me the high priced options he told me they were out of stock and my unit would arrive in 3-4 weeks. I think this company uses bate and switch to lure you in, do not trust them.

Your company has the worst service ever. You should be ashamed to do business. When I ordered the Panasonic digital camera ( DMCFZ28K) off your web site I was looking to get the camera as advertised in a reasonable amount of time as your web site indicated products are shipped in 1 to 2 business days. Your advertised price was the best on that particular camera and I was looking to getting it in a few days. A day after I placed the order someone called my home and left a message that they needed to talk to me to confirm my order in spite of the fact all necessary information had been provided in the initial order. They tried to get me to order additional products such as batteries and memory cards. I declined to make additional orders as I wanted to try out the camera first before I got more equipment for it. I'm sure that my order was delayed due to the fact I did not order additional product to make up for the loss leader of the camera. A few days later I received an email stating that when my order was processed you were out of stock and suggested that if I wanted to cancel my order I could. Not all Internet buyers are as stupid as you may think. I'll not attempt to purchase anything else from your bait and switch company and I hope others will wake up to your scam.

The above email was sent to these scam artist knowing that its unlikely to result in any change in their business practices. Hopefully though others will find this helpful. Stay away from these bums.

Ordered a low price GPS. They called to confirm then put a hard up-sell on me. I interrupted to ask the price, William became very upset telling me that even his mother didn't talk to him like that - not sure what that meant. Then he took the lord's name in vain while talking to me - I told him to please not swear at me.

He threatened to cancel my order and charge me a 30% cancellation fee. Actually threatened - then finally told me that my order would be in in 4-5 weeks.

Terrible service, not delivering what they promised. Stay far away. I have no faith that I will even get my unit. Stay away.

Wow, I should have done a basic google search on this company before I placed an order. There are numerous sites listing complaints. They did the same thing to me as they have done to everyone else. They offer a low internet price ($299 for Canon EOS Kiss X2 on 5/12/09) and then they call you to verify the order. They then proceed to try to upsell you on multiple products and if you don't bite, they tell you your order is back ordered and that they will contact you in 3-5 weeks when it is in stock. They then proceed to cancel your order. Their website doesn't say anything about a back-order when you place the purchase.

I tried to press further and speak with a Supervisor about the order and I was told I could not speak to anyone and that if I continued to ask questions they would charge me a cancellation fee. They then hung up on me and they were very hostile.

This is a serious scam and be warned!!

I just got ripped off by Camera Giants and am preparing to return the items. Has anyone here ever returned items to them? Considering how horribly I was treated by both representatives I talked to, and after seeing all the totally negative reviews all over the web, I am concerned that if I do return these items to them I'll never see a refund. They are the most horrible people (people is too kind a description) I have ever dealt with.

I got all the usual things everyone else describes: the email requesting a phone call to verify order, high pressure salesman, rude, overpriced items (charging $219.00 for a memory card available elsewhere for $25.00). It was absolutely horrible.

Any information about the success (or lack thereof) regarding returns will be greatly appreciated.
