Avoid
This UK online company called camerabox are thieves and scoundrels. I ordered a camera from them which they did not have in stock - they charged my card straight away but have ignored several requests to refund my money. They do not reply to emails or answer phone calls. And it's not just me - check out these quotes from camerabox reviews on kelkoo:
Review 1: "Rubbish customer service - dont respond to emails"
Review 2: "This has been the worst experience i have had with with a company."
Review 3: "My experience of Camerabox has been dire."
Review 4: "Strongly advise not ordering through these people, this is the worst retail experience I have had. I feel they have basically stolen my money off me."
Review 5: "Avoid camerabox at all costs if you want anything resembling customer service. "
Review 6: "The fact that Camerabox were not upfront about this and makeout its a like for like comparison with other companies offering UK items left me feeling misled and ripped off."
Review 7: "Terrible"... "Dont use they may be cheap but as we all know that's not always best."
Review 8: "Despite informing them via phone and email several times, it has been 3 months, and still no manual was sent to me. Lacks customer service."

Warning!!!! Avoid CameraBox.co.uk
On June, 6 2010 I bought from France a bundle camcorder Panasonic HDC-SD700 from CameraBox for £715.98. I paid for a next day delivery shipment and received it on June, 9 2010 (slightly too late but still acceptable).
I was able to use the camcorder without issue until September, 9 2010. On that day, I tried to switch on the device, and nothing happened. I first thought that the battery was empty so I completely re-charged the battery. I supposed the battery was fine because the charging went well as explained in the operating instructions (i.e. charging with green light on and when completely charged, light turned off). When I put the fully recharged battery, I was still not able to switch on the camcorder. I tried then to use also the DC cable but same result: impossible to switch on the camcorder. Also note that I tried to switch on the device with all techniques: button, touch screen and viewfinder without success.
I explained this problem to CameraBox and David Carter advised me to send the camcorder back for investigation/repairing to CameraBox in UK. I am working in Thailand and was quite surprised that the camcorder was not covered by an international warranty at least for the first year!!! I then returned the camcorder at my expenses and CameraBox received it on September, 23 2010.
I then sent many emails to follow-up the repairing because I was expecting to get the camcorder back before the birth of my twin daughters (scheduled for beginning of October) but this didn’t happen either…
On November, 5 2010 CameraBox confirmed me that the camcorder was repaired and that I should receive it no later than November, 9 2010. Up to now I still didn’t receive anything…
I complained about this to them many times (11 emails from November, 9 to December, 3 2010) but without any success.
On December, 20 2010, I tried the last chance option. I asked them to send me the camcorder back to France (not anymore Thailand as I figured out this might be a shipping problem) and David Carter confirmed me the next day that this would solve the issue and asked me to contact the Sales department to pay the shipping fees (to return the camcorder to me). At that time, I was still hoping to get the camcorder before Christmas time. Again, I was wrong...
I was unable to reach the Sales team of CameraBox by phone so I sent many emails without answer from them as usual… On January, 12 2011 I was able to reach the Sales team and I paid for a next delivery fee of £14.99. Next day, I got an email from Linda Bell that the camcorder was not available (my camcorder was supposed to be repaired since November 5!!!).
Since then, I sent again many emails with screen copies of the Live Stock that showed items in inventory but still no action / no answer from CameraBox.
On January, 21 2011 I was already very tired for this situation (I don’t need anymore the camcorder…) and asked CameraBox for a refund. I am now waiting for their feedback.

Never received refund
Like many other complainants - I ordered a camera from this company (a canon 550d) when their "live online availability" stated it was in stock - the camera never arrived - when I phoned to discover what had happened I was told it wasnt in stock - no apology, I could either wait or get a refund
The refund has still not arrived 3 weeks on - and they now refuse to return phone calls/emails and I suspect its money I will never see again.
They are allowed 30 days to refund the money - after that I will go to trading standards and the police. It is imperative anyone else in the same situation does the same
They are unreliabe and rude (at best) and at worst fraudsters theiving on a large scale

credit card fraud
This company or somebody working in it has fraudulently made 3 transactions with my credit card totalling over 1000 euro. Avoid this cowboy company especially Gary Smart its so called online customer services manager.

Debited my account but did not deliver the Camera
Camerabox took an order for a Ricoh camera on 2nd September, callled the following day saying there was a security issue. I returned the call same day and call was not returned. Following day called 5 times after getting All our operators are busy all the time. Following day called again leaving more messages and still NO returned call.
A further week went by and I gave up as no response from them.
I went on my two weeks holiday and on returning opened my Bank statement to see my account had been debited on the same day 2nd September. Called Camerabox yesterday still no reply. I therefore called my Bank to advise them and inform of what had happened as I thought this was the best thing. I then called today ten times before someone returned my call and as a result of telling them this they have refused to send out the camera.
As the funds had been taken from my account and they thought there was a security issue why did they not contact me after a few days, they have had this money for over a month and still they are saying because of a security issue being that I asked the camera to be delivered to a second address. So I am told they will not send out now and I have to claim the money back from the Credit Card Company. I would say we called at least 50 times in total and left over 10 messages but No response until a month after.
I will not be shopping here again as the service is just unreal and very unhelpful

non-existent after sales service
Rubish after sales. Sold me a camera which turned out not to be covered by guarantee through camerabox.co.uk I found out through the repair company they told me to send the camera to, for repair. Yet they could not understand why when I told them, and they offered to resolution, just ignored me for weeks on end. Would never, ever buy from them again. You have been warned - stay clear.
