Poor Service
On October 14th 2010 I had an eye exam at C&B Optical. Eight days later I picked up my glasses. After I put them on I told the sales rep that everything was blurry when I looked to the sides. She stated this was normal and I was told to "wear them a couple of days and your eyes will adjust." I returned in two days stating that it was still blurry and that I could not see distance. My glasses were adjusted. I returned in four days with the same problem. I spoke with the manager then and she stated that it would be blurry when looking to the sides as "I needed to point my nose at what I wanted to look at." I asked her why I did not have that problem with my old glasses. She stated that they had used a different type of lens. I told her I did not order that type of lens and I wanted the same type of lens for my new glasses. She stated they would re-make my new lenses with the old style. Now another eight days have passed and I return to get my "new" glasses. I put them on and I can now see fine side to side. I leave and realize that I still cannot see far away. I think that maybe it is just me so I wear them for four more days. I return to C&B again stating that my distance vision is not clear. My glasses are adjusted again. I wear them for a week this time but I have to put my old glasses on at night to see distance. I return to C&B for the sixth time in one month. The sales rep takes my glasses to check the prescription. She then tells me everything checks out fine so "let's do a little more adjusting." I leave again only to have the same distance problem. I return in four days and speak with a different sales rep. She states that she wants to check my prescription. I told her that another lady had just done that four days prior and told me that all was fine. She states that she would still like to check so I agree. She comes back and states "I know what is wrong." She states that the prescription in the right lens is wrong! I asked why the other lady told me everything was fine and she stated "she is the new girl." I am now quite upset. She states they will get them fixed again with the right prescription. I now have to wait another eight days. I return for the seventh time and pick up my "new" glasses again. I put them on, leave the store, and low and behold I still cannot see distance. I think maybe I should give them a couple days and see if it improves. It does not. I return for the eighth time and they ask if I have had a re-exam. I told them that no one had even suggested that. They stated that I could get in to see the Doctor in one week and I told them that was unacceptable and that I would be in the next day. I went in on Tuesday (ninth) and had another exam. The Doctor told me "your eyes like the prescription but your brain is saying no, no, no." I stated that I expected him to get my brain and my eyes on the same page! He stated they would make a new pair of glasses that would be ready in eight to 10 days. I returned this evening (tenth) to pick up my "new" glasses again to be told that they had forgotten to put the reflective coating on the lenses! I stated that I wanted my glasses tomorrow without the coating and that they could make new lenses with the coating so that I would not have to be without my glasses another eight to ten days. I do not know what the outcome will be until I receive my new glasses but I know that I have not been able to wear these "new" glasses in almost three months.
