Misedeliveries are commonplace in this town. My utilities bills have been delivered to other people and I have received all kinds of mail correctly addressed but wrongly delivered. Even my tax refund was put in someone else's mail box. I have to pick up my mail at a bank of boxes which was left wide open one day. Great opportunities for identity theft, eh? A parcel of plants I was expecting was misdelivered in Niscu then left lying in a corner of the sorting office for three weeks. Notification to pick up another parcel was twice put in the wrong mail box and my parcel was on the point of being returned to the sender by the time I found out where it was. Another time, I was notified to collect a package but when I went to the post office, nobody could find it. I waited twenty minutes while the numpties behind the counter chatted away and wandered about pretending to look for it. When I complained about all this to the Canada Post Ombudsman, all I got was a whiny call from the local sorting office about how overworked the posties were - what a load of rubbish. They don't even do house deliveries here. All they do is drive up and stick bundles into a bank of boxes. I think the whole operation should be shut down and open to private companies - that's the only service you can rely on anyway.

How dare you lock out the CUPW workers without serving notice! I have many packages now being held hostage in your warehouses, these are things for my wedding and I need them! Shame on you Canada Post, Shame on YOU! While you are busy being a lazy greedy corporation, millions of citizens are now suffering the consequences. I hope you enjoy many angry citizens breathing down your neck! If you do not deliver my things before my wedding like you are supposed to, I will charge you with theft! Don't punish the citizens due to your greed, get that mail out of your warehouses and deliver it to the people whom it belongs.

I applied for US visa and they asked me to leave my non-Canadian passport(I am not a Canadian citizen) and a prepaid Xpresspost envelop, after months of investigation they sent me an email that they had sent the passport in the Xpresspost envelop I provided them with from the Consulate in Toronto to my address in Mississauga . I waited for the envelop to reach me but nothing happened, so I contacted Canada post, they told me that the parcel wasn't delivered and was sent to undelivered mail office, the lady told me that she will send them and ask them to deliver the parcel as a high priority. I waited for one week with nothing delivered, then I contacted customer service again, I explained to them that this passport is a critical piece of ID for me, I cannot travel or stay in Canada without it as it has all my papers inside, all the visas for Canada and US which will take forever to apply for it again, and of course cost much money. I have been through this nightmare for about 3 weeks with no solution. Canada post seems to be not finding the parcel despite being in their undeliverable mail office, it seems that one of their employee opened the parcel and sold my passport. I am stuck in Canada until I apply for new papers, I have not enough money to reschedule my flights or apply for new documents. I am so desperate and frustrated that Canada post doesn't give a damn about the lost parcel and they offer only 100 dollars as reimbursement of any lost item. I need someone from Canada post to talk with, or any lawyer who can help and tell me what to do.

Some Canada Post mail carriers simply don't care about the ramifications of stuffing your mail inside a flyer that already exists in your mailbox.
