On September 1oth sales representative Beatrice Felix came to my home. I placed an order, and gave 110.80 cash and a checque for 1000.00 as the downpayment. After reviewing the company with the Better Business Bureau and the Provincial Consumers Affairs Office I decieded to cancel the order. As per the contract I faxed them a letter of cancellation on September 13. The sales rep Beatrice Felix called me and asked why I was cancelling. On the 14th of September they cashed the checque for 1000.00. I called everyday, numerous times up until the 28th of September asking when I could expect to get my money back. Most of the time I got an answering machine and despite leaving numerous messages nobody called me back. The few times someone answered the phone they said they would have someone call me back, nobody ever did. Finally I emailed their website and got a call back from Andrew Gaal, he asked me to file proof of the first fax and the letter which I did. Again I ended up calling and finally about 4-5 days later Mr. Gaal called me back to inform me that they would not return my money because they didnt get the first fax. This company thinks I'm an idiot, fax machines dont give a recieved letter unless the fax on the other end answers. I asked to speak to the owner and finally got ahold of Ron Atkinson, through a phone call from my son (on his phone) requesting to talk to Beatrice Felix. Mr. Atkinson told me that my proof meant nothing and that if I didnt take the order he was going to sue me. On October 1 a withdrawl of 189.57 was withdrawn from my bank by their 3rd party finance company. I immediately called them as I had not given authorization for any pre-authorized debits. After faxing bank statements, proof of both faxes and the cancellation letter they discoverd that Canadian Fine Foods had put my bank information on another customers account. Mr. Atkinson said that this was just a little mistake, when I asked if losing the first fax couldnt of been a mistake also he said no, they never got it. I have sent all paperwork to the BBB and The Provincial Consumers Affairs Office. This man is a crook and needs to be stopped. I intend to take this to court and the media in an effort to have this company shut down. DONOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE DECEITFUL AND DISHONEST. THEY WILL TRY AND SCREW YOU.
