I have been living in my unit since February 2009, I have on numerous time sent through a request for certain items to be fixed on the premises. I was told after moving in that the place would be inspected, this has still not happened, my faxes have been ignored and at one time I was told that due to the "recession" they are unable to fix the stuff that are broken. My rent is paid every month, on time, with no complaints, even considering that we never receive a rental invoice or statement from them.
My list of items requiring attention is: shower door does not close properly, hooks on rail. A shelf in one of the cupboards is broken, thats the main bedroom downstairs, there is a missing light shade in the living room, the toilet downstairs has a leak, the main problem I would say is the oven door does not close properly, the oven also does not switch off, so if you have the stove switched on a the wall, your oven is on, regardless, which I am sure is running my electricity bill up too. The door handle to the door leading outside is also broken.
These people are quick to throw people out, for noise etc, but they never come out to fix stuff, I had to replace the light on the steps due to arriving home in the dark from work during winter so that I never fell down them.
There must be something one can do about a company like this, I also do not want to be thrown out of my place due to complaining about them, as I am a single mom, battling to make ends meet.
