Took my money and still no product
In August 2010 my husband and I were looking at purchasing floors. We shopped around for about 6 weeks getting quotes and measurements. We visited Canoak Flooring and found a product we liked. Asked if someone could come out and give us a quote. 2 or 3 days later a man showed up measured everything while he was at our home I questioned him on the product. He gave me every reason why I should not worry about anything he has been doing this for so many years. While we were deciding which company to give our business to the man from Canoak Flooring called us 2 sometimes 3 times a day for about 2 weeks making himself so available and the floors so available, ofcourse just to get our money. We decided to go with Canoak. On August 30/2010 the man came down to our home and picked up our 50% deposit. Before I gave hime the cheque I asked him how long for delivery, about 4 to 6 weeks? Oh, no he replied 2.5 weeks cause usually they have overstock or worst case senario we have to order then 3 weeks. I said ok. It is now Oct 5 2010 and till today my sales rep and management refuses to call me back and answer any of my questions. I called and spoke with a receptionist who had the nerve to hang up on me when I refused to except her answer of that someone will call me back. I went into there showroom this morning to force someone to talk after yesterdays ordeal and when I walked in a man came up to me asked if I needed something I said who I was nothing more and he went off telling me that our floors are not in yet, do I feel coming into the office is going to make them come in any faster, I'm apparently harrassing them becuase I call everyday asking where our floors are. When they get here someone will call us. He then had the nerve to step up to me raise his shoulders up and start yelling at me because I said I think I deserve some answers. YOu took our money and now no one is to be found. I asked for my deposit back and they refused. I asked for a last name for my sales rep and/or a name for a manager so I could contact the BBB and he refused. Told me by the time the BBB gets to my complaint my floors will be delivered so go ahead. I just want some answers. I was having a private installer install the floors who now is unable to install them untill the new year beucase he has other jobs lined up the floors took to long. I am 7 months pregnant wanting my floors to be done before this new baby came and now I will have to go live/stay somewhere else until the kaos is over with a couple week old baby. I explained this all to the man at the store and he said we'll find a different installer and its not his problem that i'm having a baby. My husband and I are unbelievably disgusted. Hope someone can help me figure out what to do.
