Chasing Justice
continual calling, even thought I explained the situation to them. That I was now going through a Credit Bureau. That because they closed the doors to where I work, and I knew I couldn't afford my bills, I took the only avenue open to me, and that was going to a Credit Council Bureau. They said they did not recognize them (upon their next phone call), which I later found out to be false. They called 4 more times. Thrice more I explained. Then I told them I was through an agency, and hung up on them. I called the Credit Bureau I was dealing with. I explained again to the next caller the letter had been sent out. They said I could expect calls daily, as they didn't recognize the Credit Bureau. They continue to call, I hang up.

Misleading and Fraud
I received a capital one gold card with a limit of $500 (red flag number one) a gold card set at $500 anyways I got my first bill $487.00 paid $100.00 and everything was fine. Then my second bill $587 and I paid the bill off in FULL now get this they told me that I had no available credit and everything is on hold for 30 days because I paid more than my limit. I explained to them I paid my bill as a good person should but they didn't care. They even told me I should have only paid $400 and I said "really" and who would be responsibile for the interest on the unpaid balance and they said "I would" well needless to say I simply cancelled the card. Capital who promises to help your credit is nothing more then a money grab with no moral fibre. DO NOT GET A CAPITAL ONE CARD

Poor customer appreciation and lack of customer appreciation
Always always giving misleading information. Every customer representative apologizes for the one before because of giving incorrect information. I want my credit card increased and I want my loyalty as a customer to be appreciated. I am tired of capital one treating me like crap because they know I need them to rebuild my credit and I think they use that to their full advantage. I have always paid my account on time with the exception of a couple of times but all in all they have always told me that I am a good customer. Then do something to show it. I want my card increased to 750.00 or 1000.00 before Friday. I work my butt off at two jobs and make more than enough money to cover any payments that become due. I have submitted previous complaints to do with capital one and I would appreciate a response by return email.. Thank you.

Bad Customer Service/false information
Unfortunately this company has me backed into a corner. I am trying to build up my credit and have been struggling to increase this limit for over a year and a half. I have had the privilege of dealing with the most rude people ever. The information is never consistent. First of all they say they are not doing credit limit increases due to the economy and then over the last few months they tell me they are now reviewing accounts for increases. Today March 23, 2010 they tell me they are not doing increases. If I had any other company I could deal with presently I would but I don't. I am not asking for a million dollars, I am asking for a small increase and I do not appreciate being treated like garbage and feeling unappreciated as a customer. Can you please help me. I want an increase to 750.00-1000.00 which is only an additional 450.00 - 600.00.

Not paying creditor
I opened an account with Capital One in order to transfer my high interest rate line of credit balance to their Master Card. I went through the process on November 22 and the transfer was approved. Six days later I checked my line of credit account online and it was still showing the same balance. I contacted them and they told that they had not received the money. I contacted Capital One and was told that they just approved the payment. This is 6 days after original approval! I continued to check daily and nothing changed. I kept getting canned messages from Capital One, in response to my enquiries, saying that he payment was approvd on Nov. 22 and to please contact them if I have more questions! Today, December 10, twenty days after the original approval, the line of credit account is still unpaid. So I called Capital One again, only to be told that they experienced problems sending the money electronically and had to mail it, and with the holidays and state of USPS, it could be a while. They mailed the check! What if they don't get it, or if it gets lost? The customer service rep was like a tape recorder. Nothing to say outside of the script that she had.
Now, my Capital One statement says I owe them $4,006, with the first payment due in two weeks, my line of credit provider shows $4065 ($4006 + $59 in iterest becuase the money was not paid).
I cannot wait until the $4006 is paid to my line of credit account, I pay off Capital One and throw their card away. One thing I can tell you is that a Capital One card will never be in my wallet. Their service and the way they practice their business (of ripping customers off) is deplorable. For God sake, do NOT apply for Capital One card, they suck.
