Unauthorized charges
I have been a Capital One credit card holder for 4+ years. I am responsible for what I have charged and pay on-time if a payment is necessary. However, that being said, Capital One has been charging me a payment protection fee for over 3 years. Totaling the monthly fee for over all these years it is over 800, they just refunded me 100 and are 'investigating' the issue. I have never signed up for this service and find it highly suspect that you can just charge someone a fee and say that it was on my statement every month, why am I disputing it now. They are stealing from people and laugh about it on the phone. Anyone out there that this has happened to? Any Esq. in the bunch that see any wrong doing. I am angry. I as a taxpayer am bailing out banks that probably practice this same thing!

BOYCOTT CAPITAL ONE
Capital One Complaints - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

I AM SO PISSED! I have never received such bad service my whole life!
This is a series of events that just keep getting worse. I lost my capital one card and asked for a replacement. It took several calls to have my card replaced because the person I spoke with kept confusing my card number with that of the other cardholders in the company. When I finally got the new card and I tried paying the balance using capital one's automated system, their computer says, "A new number has been assigned for this account. " It then transferred me to a customer service rep (or should I say anti-customer service rep) who was very rude. I told her that I was frustrated and that I wanted to be transferred to a supervisor. Several minutes later, a supervisor got on the line and asked what she could do for me. I told her that I was frustrated since this is the 5th time that has happened in 2 months. I told her that they need to improve their customer service and be more efficient. She started getting defensive and said that there is nothing wrong with their customer service in India. I said that if she is already getting defensive about my complaint and she is a supervisor, then I said that that is unfortunate because the supervisors are supposed to lead and be a good example. She got really sarcastic and said, " We have the best customer service in India!" I told her I disagreed, based on her attitude and several others before her. She huffed and puffed and snapped, " You can call back later when you are feeling happy!" Then she hung up. What a biyatch! I can not believe this woman! I can not believe why Capital One would outsource our jobs to countries like India, that don't even give Americans decent customer service. We need jobs in the US. We need to get back this customer service jobs that are being given away overseas and not being appreciated. And---- these people insult our intelligence and treat us like s---t! This is terrible and needs to stop.

they took me to court ,briked our checkmwe went through genesis,through consolidation and
i have been paying genesis through debt condolidation, thay r not paying on interest at all .so nothing is solved, caoital one put a brick on our check and took us to court mwill not talk tous, dec we have another couurt hearing, can, t live like this theses r scams this is my sister, s capital one and genesis.they r taking everthing and will not talk to them til court day, have no where to go or what to do

Over limit fees and lates fees
I have been a customer of Capital One for several years and every now and again I have had to call and let them know that they have charged my account a fee that really should not be charged.
This is happening more often, especially since the decline of the banking industry.
A late fee or over the limit fee will show up on my account every month and every month I have to call and reason with them that my account is not over the limit and that the payment they recieved showed up two weeks prior to the deadline.
Now, they are very reasonable about it, but it is becoming very frustrating when I have to call them every month and remind them that it is illegal for them to be charging fees under false pretenses.

I highly reccommend that people avoid credit cards all together, especially in such uncertain times. unfortunately, corporate America has betrayed us once again.

billing
We have two Capital One credit card accounts. We promtly receive one of those account billing statements and make the payment on time. The other account is different. Some months I do not receive a statement. I am a busy mother of three children and at first I thought I may have lost the bill, although this is the only account of ALL the bills I pay that this has happened to. I would receive a phone call from Capital One saying my payment was late and I could pay by phone. Not only would they tell me I had to pay the payment amount but also a late fee, a pay by phone fee, some othe kind of fee and the payment amount for the next month even though that statement would not be sent out for several more weeks! This has happened 5 times over 2 yrs., oddly the same months. Suspicious.

Fraud and scam
A note for all taxpayers who have been victim to Capital One abuse in lending, we're giving them 3.5 billion in funds they DO NOT even need, to aid their shareholders finacial security. Tell your representative do NOT give Captal One unneeded cash from taxpayer funds. They do not give such breaks to their customers even in crisis, and it will not likely help any of their customers in any way.

have paid them off
i have paid them off and they keep calling me a sayin i had two accounts but i got my wife a card with the same account number on it when i got my. i paid them off july 2008 have send them a copy of the check and the letter that i got back from their lawyer where i paid it off they still keep calling me the manager is the one i send the letter and the copy of the check to his name is malan. please help me from keep getting calls from them and get this off of my record where i have paid them off. they kept calling my wife when i was in the hospital and having surgery 2 years ago. i fell 3 stories and they wasnt expecting me to live stay in there 2 months and she told them i would and she would paid them off when we got our settlement and we did so help me clear this matter thank you.

Terrible advertisement
I just want Capitol One to be aware that the advertisement used for capitol one, on yahoo is the most annoying blinking advert I have ever seen. I would be pleased to see it gone and would only then consider doing business with capitol one. It is a terrible advert.

Capitol One could ultimately lose business over having such an annoying advert.
