Made me wait for 5+ months for the title transfer
I moved to Ohio and started my transfer of title in February, it has now been 5+ months and I still have NO TITLE for Ohio. My Indiana plates expired in April so my car that I pay 360/month has been sitting in the driveway since April. Does Cap. One care??? NOOO. I have spoken to countless title agents/supervisors...I have been transferred, hung up on and lied to countless times. Nobody cares about my frustration with them. I have been told "4-5 more weeks" at least 3 times now. This past Wed. I was told by a supervisor it would be overnited and I could go to the title office Thurs., didn't happen. Called back Thurs. they said it would be overnited Thurs. and the supervisor was making sure of it...didn't happen. This Monday morning when I called I was told it was definitely sent out TODAY...we will see, but I won’t count on it. I have written 3 letters to "customer service"-never have I received an apology. Nothing!! I will never use Capital One for ANYTHING ever again in my life! Nightmare!!!

Beware
I sent Cap One VOD they requested more info. I resent VOD back with their letter.
I received letter dated 7-3-08 stating I had until 7-3-08 to pay 5, 499.34 in full. They go onto say they do not have a valid signed agreement with me because this account was set up on line or over the phone??? They sent a copy of a statement dated Nov and Dec of 2004 and a copy of a customer Agreement.
What do I do next???? I had ID theft and filed BK in 2001. This is part of that but I can not get Cap One to comply. This is the only bad mark left on my credit report. It shows charge off!

Penalties & finance charges despite payment in full
Last month, Capitol one stuck $64.68 of charges on my account, ostensibly because my payment was late. After I showed that my bank had made the payment on time, the charges were removed.
This month, however, I have a new charge of $9.56 because I paid the balance less the $64.68 (which was credited to my account before the due date.)
Today I had to listen to Tara and Shirley from Capitol One "Customer Service" tell me that a zero-balance isn't proof of payment in full...that I should have overpaid the account by $64.68 in order to avoid the $9.56 finance charge. What rubbish!
Let's do the math, too...assume for a minute that the erroneous charge of $64.68 was valid, 9.56/64.68 over 30 days amounts to %177 APR.

Unauthorized charge and unauthorized hold on the account
I was pre-selected as a credit card holder by capital one. But, I never activated the card because I did not like the terms to the card. Capital One opened my account and charged me a membership fee and late fees for the card I never activated.
When I realized it is a kind of cheating, I argued for closing the account and canceling the unauthorized fee for me over phone. Although the capital one agents have promised to close my account and cancel the unauthorized fee for me, in fact they still hold on my account and charge me the late fee every month.
I want to emphasize again. I don't want your capital one credit card account and to be your membership!!!
Please cancel my charge and close the account for me, otherwise I will accuse.

Scam charges
Several months ago we received a call that our card might be used and need to send us a new card, Capital one sent us to fraud unit and we were hung up on and put one hold several times we wanted to cancel our card and they would not give us the new information to close our account we continued calling and sending money and our balance continued to go up after 5 months of this we were on the phone for an hour in half and put on hold 7 times and half the people would not come back to the phone. Capital one is the most dishonest credit card we ever have used we ended up paying 750.00 in charges that we don't know where they came from. When I pulled our credit report they had caused our credit score to come down. If any one is thinking of opening a credit card DO NOT USE CAPITAL ONE!!! This will not be the end of this, I will contact att. general and better business and anyone else I can think of to make sure this does not happen again.

I simply don't understand
Hello my name is Shelonda Kennedy, my reason for filing this complaint is that I've had something accrue on my account twice in less then two months and it is causing great concern on my part.
In the month of May I was charged an over the credit limit fee on my account. When I called to inquire about how this could have happen and to see what I could do to prevent it from happening again. The young man on the other end of the line explained to me, I had exceeded my limit by mere pennies and this is the manner in which matters like this are dealt with. This I understood but the June statement is what caught me by surprise.
You see in an effort to take preventive measures on my part I made certain I paid more then my minimum of $15 so that it would cover any over the limit fee of a few pennies. I paid $25 on my account to reach my goal in August concerning a letter that was sent to me by your establishment.
This letter stated that if I managed not to go over the limit on my account up to August I would qualify for a credit line increase which would be just in the nick of time for me because that extra cash would help me prepare for her starting school this fall. Now when I asked your phone rep. if there were any additional fees being billed to my account monthly he said no!
This is what called my attention to the June statement because it shows a finance charge of $6.98 which is supposedly the reason I exceeded my limit. Charges on the account were in the amount of $5.00 (Thompson Oil), and $7.25 (Murphy) bring my total to $12.25 + a $6.98 finance charge for a grand total of $29.23.
This is in addition to an additional $25.00 payment in the month of May which was supposed to take me out of the red according to your representation what waived the over the limit fee. Someone please help me understand I wouldn't write in if I didn't need to have a true understanding of what went wrong and how it can be fixed.

They will sue even after the debt is settled
I had a judgement filed on me, I paid capital one in December, last year, got a confirmation number, showed on my checking account where it was deducted, and now 7 months later I received a letter saying they are taking the payment out of my checking account, claiming the payment was never made...and... even though I have proof I did. Too... Now they say it is another account which conveniently has the same account number, and the same balance...I have retained a lawyer, anyone having the same issue should do the same it is horrible, and unjust, no more!

Nightmare
Every time I call Capital One & speak with their CS group I get someone in India that doesn't understand what I'm saying & I honestly don't understand what they're saying either. They lie & say their name is Charlie or Bob when we all know it's NOT. I've been hung up on by them a number of times just b/c I ask if they could repeat their question! That's NOT good CS! I'll be cancelling my card soon and please note that I've had it for nearly 5 years now! The company wonders why they're having issues - just a hint idiots - review your CS department! They're horrible! Outsourcing to a country that doesn't speak proper English & can't understand it IS NOT THE ANSWER!!!

Midleading and bad customer service
I have been a Cap One customer for years. In January I made a balance tranfer to my current APR which was 0%. I asked for the deadline of my current APR before I did the transfer and they told me there wasn't one that they could find so I was good at least until the end of the year. I questioned this and asked if they would confirm all of this in writing. They did, only the sheet they sent me only said I transferred to my current APR - it gave me no deadline for my APR. In April sure enough my bill showed up with a new APR of 9.9%. I called immediately to voice my concern and they told me they would fix the interest rate and that they would refund the finance charge. But sure enough this month the bill showed up with the same APR and another finance charge. I called again and was treated horribly. I was told there was no record of beging told my APR had no end date. I requested that they at least refund my finance charges for two months and was told "No". I was transferred at least 6 times, hung up on twice 'accidentally' - (and no I wasn't yelling) and finally told they would refund one month only. I asked why - because I was never told they declined my original request and she said "HEY - WE DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING HERE -THERE IS NO RECORD OF YOUR CONVERSATION ABOUT THE APR". So I agreed to take one month and I am cancelling my account. I feel that I was purposefully lied to in January just to get me to transfer the money. The old bait and switch game which is supposed to be illegal. Don't use Cap One - they are rude, and dishonest.

Fraudulent activity
This company is terrible when it comes to customer service. You'd think that you could get someone on the phone in the fraud department after all fraud is a serious thing.
I mean they send me a theft affidavit and they don't even give me enough time to send the form in before they decide they are going to close the investigation.
I just want the two charges taken off of my account.
