Filed Bankruptcy - collection efforts never ceased. Not only did they not stop trying to collect, they would call every 15 min every 3 hours. Some days, the calls would exceed 30 total calls. I spoke with a CSR to request for the millionth time that that stop contacting me that the calls were ridiculous. The CSR said he was sorry - agreeing that it was absolutely ridiculous, but that is how their system works. Laws need to be updated as the technology increases - knowing from caller id that it is the same collecter all day calling over and over (to my cell phone) is exactly the same as leaving 30 messages (which is the loophole they are jumping through) - the law is that as long as they do not leave a message - it is not considered harassing...if anyone called my phone 30 times a day, I would have a problem with it - let alone a company calling for money that under federal law I have no obligation to repay.
