Under the Credit Consumer Protection Act, I asked Westcoast Visa (Cardmember Service) to intervene as their vendor was not giving me warranty support on a recent purchase. Although Cardmember Service did intervene and act as a mediator, there advise ultimately has cost me an additional $3, 300.00. In otherwords, Cardmember Service advised me to ignore the "monthly storage fees" levied against me, even though I sent three faxes questioning this advise; ultimately making the final statement that "based on their advise, I am not responsible for the storage fees". I received no response... nothing to dispute the advise given throughout the complaint.
Cardmember Service (Visa) ruled in favor of their client saying that they had no legal authority to make their client honor the manufacturers warranty. I responded by asking, OK, I will pursue that on my own... but what about the storage fees? I was told by Cardmember Service that the $3, 000.00 storage fee was my responsibility and had to write a letter to: THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT if I wanted to make a challenge. On October 21, 2009 I mailed a certified letter to THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT and asked that he review the letter(s), complaints, etc and explain his position on the advise given regarding the "storage fees". Not surprisingly, I did not receive a response. Therefore, a second letter is being mailed tomorrow, December 14, 2009 via certified mail. I will keep you posted if I receive or don't receive a reply.
