Care credit does it again

On-line Payments
I sent a payment in on-line and that automatically shut off my paper statements that I was receiving in the mail faithfully for years. Nothing on the web site informed me that my paper statements would be turned off now that this payment was excepted on-line. I was not given a choice to as to wether I wanted to continue receiving my statements or to go paperless like most sites do.
I didn't receivce my statement and I when I inquired about it my payment was to be received late because if on went on line to make the payment it would shut off my paper statements again.
I received a late payment for this issue even though it is a technical error on there on-line billing system. I was told that anytime I make and on-line payment my statements will be shut off.
I began making on-line payments and was even on autopay, but here we go again, when I went to make an extra payment so I could pay off a promotion that was about to expire it automatically shut off my auto pay. How convient for them. I did not receive an email notification of payment due since my autopay was off and I did not know.
Again I called to inquire about this as again it is a technical error on their part of their on-line billing system and they were very rude to me and stated that I turned off the autopay and therefore was responsible for the late fee.
I also found out that once a promotional period ends the balance if not paid off prior to will fall off your billing statment and you have to call in and wait for 30-45 mins to talk to any one regarding your account, and they will continue to secretly collect interest on these amounts.
They are very fraudulent in their business practices with their consumers and something should be done about them.

Fraudulent Unauthorized withdraw
I may have more than one credit card that is issued by GE money .
I am reading all the complaints and find that they all seem valid and truthfull, after similar experiences with the companies ethics & unusual policies, I think that what they are doing is a crime .
Some how they managed to debit my bank account without authorization . When I called them on the matter, they said that the accout was someone elses care credit account and, they continued to debit my bank account untill it was closed .
I dicovered them stealing money from me in June 2009 .
They had been taking funds since July 2007 . Chase Bank has fully cooperated with me through this ordeal and, the have faxed info to Care Credit .
Care Credit has not paid back the money they "accidentally " took .

Terrible Customer Service
Applicants beware! Do not get a credit card through these people. I have had nothing but issues with this card. I have the Care Credit card (ge money card) and I have had several problems: First, they gave me a 2 year period to pay off the total with 0% interest. I received a statement in the mail and FOUR months after the eye surgery the statement said that the interest would be kicking in that next month! I called and they did fix it BUT if this happens you need to call and say something, otherwise they will charge you. Second, I was late on ONE payment so I paid it over the phone so that it would go through asap. I made a double payment at that time to make up for it and I would not be behind. The payment was declined for NO reason. I had more than enough money in the bank and I had used the same bank for several other payments previously to pay my bill. It had NO reason to be declined and they charged me a late fee...FOR NO REASON! And the last reason I have to convince you not to get this card, or any ge money card for that matter, is they do not have technical support for their website. When I was making a payment via internet, it would not give me a confirmation number, therefore not getting paid either! I called to tell them that my payment was not going through and they told me there is nothing wrong with it and that I was pretty much just a dumb ass, even though I had done this before and new what I was doing. They had no answers for me to correct the issue and told me that I could make a payment over the phone for a fee of $15! What a crock of crap!
So for those of you that have this problem, try entering a higher payment than your amount due and pay it on a date before your due date. For some reason the payment finally went through.
However, they did not tell me to do that, it was trial and error on my part and I luckily found the glitch. The glitch being, they want you to pay the $15 fee to pay over the phone, or they want you to pay an amount higher than what is due and before it's due date. Hope this helps anyone who has this issue.

Never applied for credit
Care Credit shows up on my credit report as a charge-off, even though I have never applied for a loan with them. Our son-in-law needed dental work done and I was contacted by phone, as a possible guarantor. During the conversation I asked many questions and then was told I was not needed to help him get the loan. I never signed any paperwork nor gave my permission to be on the loan. Now how do I file a complaint and get rid of this smudge on my credit report?

unethical business practice
Established an account thru Care Credit to pay for a hearing aid in Oct. 2008. Did not have hearing aid insurance coverage. We paid $300.00 down and made payments of $100.00 Oct., Nov. & Dec. in Jan Care credit supposedly updated their system and failed to credit the monies paid on the account prior to to the system change. Now they're wanting $367.00 for intrest due to their system/people error. The account was paid off in Oct. 2009.

promotional expiration
I have been paying on this account for 18 months. I called and spoke with a rep about an extra charge I received on 10/4. My "promotional expiration date" expired on 10/14. They didn't say a word. I owed 50.00 out of an original bill of $800. I received my next statement with an extra $172 in interest tacked on for being 2 weeks past my expiration. They refuse to credit this amount and say that I should have clicked on a separate tab to see when my promotional interest free period expired. They said the rep only had to tell me that it was about to expire if I specifically asked. They said that the main page of the website only includes "the most asked questions about the account" and it's not their fault that I didn't click further to find my promotional expiration. I talked to an "escalation specialist" who completely talked down to me and was borderline rude. He refused to transfer me to his supervisor.

online payment rip off
I've tried several times to pay on line and this is the only website that I have difficulty trying to access my payment. When I tried to pay over the phone, they charge 10.00 x tra. This is not right! I will report them to the better business bureau and I urge every one else who has the same trouble to do the same !

I read all your complaints and it is like all of them are my case!!! ALL!!!...What has be done to stop CareCredit from treating us like this??? Nothing! Shame on the FTC..

Care Credit is terrible to do business with. They charged $39.99 for 30 minutes late on a payment. I did get credit back on that one. Then we had a lightning strike which knocked out my computer for over 24 hr. I was able to make my payment after the computer, etc was working again. I was 5 1/2 hours late, I explained and they were very rude to me. So called supervisor told me I had my one late fee reversal. So if you have any power outages, get home late from work or anything. Be sure you paid your bill before 5pm!!!

Agressive rules and charges
This company is very aggressive with fees, charges and unfair practices. I ended up paying twice the amount that I borrowed. Don't do business with them! Go to a regular bank or credit union or you will get ripped off!
