Raised interest, harrasing calls
Carecredit claims to be am American company. Then why does it outsource it work to migrant worker. Their company make calls with these worker. You can't understand half of what they say. I ask if they were American citizen, they were not. I ask to speak to an American, they could not provide one. They have raised my interest rates to 30 percent because I lost my job and got behind on my payments. They put me on a hardship program, only to find out that my smaller payments were all going to interest. This is not good business practice. Hire migrant workers for less pay and charge out of work Americans more interest to pocket more money for themselves. What has the businesses of America come to. Cut throat, make a buck, at anyones expense? The more Non American worker that are hired each day put people like me out of work. Then we get worked over by business like this. What are we to do?

Fraudulent Moneymaking Scheme
You go to the dentist and she wants to do an expensive procedure that isn't covered by insurance. When you balk at the price, she has a cost effective alternative - CareCredit. DON"T DO IT - IT IS A TOTAL SCAM.

I needed a $2, 293 program for my gums. When I said it was too expensive, she came up with CareCredit. According to the paperwork (that I have in front of me now), I would be able to pay for the program over 24 months, interest free. It would cost me just $95.54 / month. She explained that if I hadn't paid it off after the 2 years, I would owe the deferred interest at 19.99% annual rate.

Knowing I could easily afford that, I signed up. Big mistake. The pamphlet CareCredit put out is very carefully worded to mislead. In fact, everything about this operation is designed to mislead. The pamphlet shows that they offer 3, 6, and 12 month promotional periods of 0% interest and longer periods at 11.9%. The brochure implies that if you are not in good standing, you get a 22.98% interest rate slapped on.

Here is what really happened to me. I got my CareCredit card with the opening charge of $2293. I began paying it off, $200 per month. That was over twice the rate I needed to pay it off over 2 years. I set up an auto-pay and after verifying that it was working, decided to just forget about it and let it run till it was paid off.

In reality, it didn't work like that at all. After 3 months, the promotional period "ran out" and I was back charged $167 in deferred interest. And then I started accumulating interest on the balance at the punishing 22.98% rate. Just for the record, my credit score is 782-790 and I have an interest rate of 8.9% on my Visa card. I pay off my credit car in full every month.

CareCredit is a dishonest money making scheme. The entire operation - from the way local medical professionals sell it, the brochures that are handed out, the manner in which customer service operations, and the way in which the program is run is all about deception. You are led to believe you are getting one thing when, in fact, they are setting you up for punishing charges.

I find it shocking that a company like GE puts their good reputation on the line by operating this fraud. The executives of GE Money Bank should be investigated for wrongdoing and thrown in jail. This is a total scam.

late fees
I also have suffered inflexible treatment from carecredit due to a supposedly error in logging on my bank account number for auto payment. No effort was made to appraise me of the situation until I found $80. worth of fees on my statement. This is blatant callousness, take advantage of your position type of attitude that you can expect from them. Customer service is in place as others have stated to just stonewall you and avoid being pinpointed in their practices and of real place of business. Talk about knowing you are going to make people mad and making sure they cannot get to you personally. I was actually told that it was my mistake therefore my problem! I think there should be a way to make companies that act like that responsible and have substantial punishment for it.

ER VISIT
IF YOU HAVE AN ANIMAL THAT NEEDS LIFE OR DEATH TREATMENT AND DON'T HAVE THE MONEY DON'T TRY TO GET CREDIT FROM THIS PLACE. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A PERFECT CREDIT SCORE THEY DON'T GIVE A DAMN. WE LOST OUR LITTLE ANNIE DUE TO AN ACCIDENT AND DIDN'T HAVE THE 2000.00 FOR THE OPERATION AND SHE DIED THE NEXT DAY. I'M GLAD ANNIE WASN'T A CHILD THAT NEEDED MEDICAL ATT. BUT WAIT SHE WAS LIKE A CHILD TO ME SINCE I DON'T HAVE CHILDREN.

late fees
We have had an automatic payment for Care Credit from Citibank for many months. In July, I increased the amount by $15.00 monthly. In August, 2009, I was charged a late fee of $39.99 on August 18 even though the payment was recorded by you in August 18. In September the payment was recorded by you on 9/17 and a late fee of $39.99 was assessed on 9/18. Until July, the minimum due had been $82.00 monthly. Did that change and when? Now, we're told our APR will increase because of late payments which were actually on time! Please clarify and explain.

Unable to sign on to website to pay bill
When I try to sign on to their website to pay my bill, I get a screen saying that I should check my spelling, indicating that no such website exists. I have tried it numerous times, just to be sure, with the same results.

THEY ARE CHARGING ME MORE MONEY AFTER I PAID THEM THE AMOUNT THEY ASKED ME TO .
THIS COMPANY IS CHARGING OVER AND ABOVE THE AMOUNT . THE ACCOUNT WAS FOR 18 MONTHS OR 24 MONTHS FROM A DENTIST OFFICE . I CALLED THEM FOR A PAY OFF BALANCE IN JULY . THEY GAVE IT TO ME .THEN I GOT A CALL AFTER IT WAS PAID SAYING I OWED ANOTHER AMOUNT . THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME INTERST FOR A PAYMRENT DEFERRED PAYMENT . I SPOKE TO THEM AND THEY SAID IF I PAID THEM OVER THE PHONE $292.33, I WOULD BE PAID IN FULL . NOW THEY SAY I OWE $876.86 AGAIN . THEN I CALLED BACK AGAIN AND THEY SAID I STILL OWE THEM $ 150.00 TODAY I GOT A BILL FROM THEM SAYING I STILL OWE $ 876.86 AGAIN !!! I AM NOT GOING TO PAY THEM MONEY AFTER I PAID THEM OFF AUGUST 18th 2009

late fee
I have been a CareCredit customer for several years. I have never been late with a payment. In fact, I have always paid more than the minimum amount due.

I also have always paid my promotional amounts before the expieration date.

My complaint is that I was given a late fee of $29 for a payment that was one day late. My payment was the balance on the account. Since I had paid off the balance on the statement, I do not feel that I should have been charged a late fee. I am seriously considering never using CareCredit again.
